Good day to all!

I am just a newbie here and in programming as well, despite that I am very excited and enthusiastic to learn programming languages still I feel that I am going nowhere, that I lost motivation and finding it anywhere.

I know most of the people here are really into programming and I just want to know their views/opinion how they keep the fire burning to write codes everyday.

I know I shouldn't wait for inspiration, because the mere result is enough to inspire me, but still...

Maybe this quite nonsense to those professionals but I hope someone can understand the feeling.

hanap ka ng iproprogram TS na gusto mu. like mahilig ka maglaro, gumawa ka ng cheat software for a certain game.

I feel you bro/sis, ganyan din po ako.. pero ngayon iniisip ko para mamotivate ako matuto is yung future ko.. and yung sasabihin ng iba like friends and colleagues, di pa din mawawala ung competition lalo na kapag yung ibang colleagues successful na and sobrang galing na.. wag mo na po antayin na makarinig ka ng masasakit na salita in the future na dapat nag ganito ka nalng, isipin mo nalang na ginagawa mo ito para naman makabawi ka sa mga HIRAP at SACRIFICES ng parents mo.. DON'T WASTE TIME, BE PRODUCTIVE.. Nasa huli ang pag sisi, At naranasan ko na po un at ayaw ko na maulit ulet .. Kulang ka lang sa motivation.. Just Pray to God Almighty and Think about your PARENTS, They work hard for your future so kelangan mag PAYBACK. Sana nakatulong :)

I have so many inhibitions kasi,

first, I saw there is a big gap about gender with regards to programming... I am a woman.
second, I am also working full-time here in UAE as an office staff...
third, I think I am insecure with young people who could still grasp the technology, I graduated two courses before but far from coding field..now,its quite difficult to run in race track of this field.

My previous job in the Philippines gave me the thought of why not programming, I found myself being SAP Business One Junior Consultant, but guys I am just assisting...I learnt through watching "legal consultant" how to do things...I am a previous user of SAP multiple modules that is why I got familiarity, afterwards my previous boss gave me the chance to assist a PHP/ASP developer, we worked quite well because I am the one who will talk to client and he will code, I am the tester of the program and I took notes about the clients complains and issues about our programs, I experienced also to help the server administration, LAN cabling and IP routing that is why, I got the thought why not put myself into programming..

But thank you so much for giving time to reply guys.

Bigatin ka pala TS... PURSUE MO kung anu GUSTO MO! GENDER IS NOT A MUST IN PROGRAMMING.. Just prove to them na Magaling ka and may knowledge and skills, Based on your previous job here in Philippines.. Advantage mo na ung nakapag SAP ka, and nasa UAE ka pa. Mas maganda Opportunity jan, Try to study in spare time.. gawin mo lang hobby, wag mo isipin mga negative hehe..

more sa mga videos kasi ay english ang turuan, I'm not confident enough to understand, buti kung tagalog ang mga module explanation..tapos slang pa..haha..nakatawa parang ang babaw pero yung means of communication is very vital in teaching and learning process. minsan nanonood ako ng module, bigla kong maisip yung detective conan na nga lang..mas motivated pa ko.. nakakadismaya ako hay. natutuwa ako yung ganito na may nakakausap na mga may alam talaga sa ganitong field, i read aome articles and blogs that if I really want to learn new things that the four corners of classrooms could not offer, try to find people who do the deeds and interact with them, talk to them and ask questions because I believe programmers are all unique and peculiar into their own ways...sana madami pa kong mabasang experiences na nagaganap sa mga programmers na paano nila nalalampasan ang mga difficulties para matuto sa pagprogram.

Salamat.

i think nasau na ung interest but hindi mo makita o maramdaman ung reward after. ganito kase nararamdaman ko pag nag aaral ako ng bagong programming language, gusto ko lang lage umpisa hehe. try to challenge your self pa po, for example mag alok ka ng free program sa mga nag papagawa ng mga projects nila dito sa forum, dun mas ma chachallenge ka madaliin at pag aralan ung mga dapat mo malaman in order to finish ung challenge mo sa sarili mo :) the result is when natapos mo ung project at mag pasalamat sau ung nagpagawa ang sarap sa pakiramdam at mas lalo ka mamomotivate. :)

tama ka bro yan din ginagawa ko but now stop na ako sa programming kahit na basic palang ako busy na kasi sa work lalo na pagdito kana sa abroad Riyadh..Masyado boring ang life

im not a programmer but one idea that always works for me if i have something to be done and make it right surrounded yourself with the people with same ideas/interest as yours, go online, search for a programmer groups/chatrooms etc. meet people and you will see doing the same things that you both enjoy.
Best of luck.

For a starter, I found this site very informative and useful. I think there are so many great people here with so many good things to say about programming. Honestly, I only have few friends which are into programming or techie field, they are all in the Philippines, when I went here in UAE, seldom I found who has same interest like me..

I am really a newbie..but looking forward to have certification of this field, planning to study again but another dilemma is if I go to training center they are just going to teach me basic, I will pay for things that I can learn thru online, am I right? I just want documentation to prove that I have knowledge in programming, is my path correct? please correct if I am wrong...

Thanks guys! I found awesome people here.

Hi I.T. Professionals! :) This thread is really informative keep inspiring others.

Salamat po. sana madami pang mag-post dito ng mga dinadanas nila sa pagprogram, yung motivation nila , yung dahilan nila kaya nakaka-come-up sila sa isang magandang project..

Salamat.

Always remember this :

The more you commit error, the more you learn.

Start on something that looks awesome and interesting, Then do a project... maybe a small will do? or... a big one for extra challenge :) . just as long na its a project na may sense. Once na nacode mo na yan or natapos mo then dun ka magiging proud sa sarili mo and masasabi mong natuto ka and you build something useful and so the motivation comes to learn and build more.
Just a piece of advice I can give you, If you were a starter please learn and utilized the benefits of GIT. It will save you a lot of time on code changes and rollbacks, Tracking of Codes, and storing of your codes. Goodluck.

Gumagawa nga ako ng web page kasi html5 at css palng ang alam ko tlgang icode, with the help of codecademy nkgwa ako ng disenteng page, kaso wala akong mpgshare-ran na makaka-appreciate the ways I see this page..karamihan kasi sa friends ko hindi into programming..normal works dito sa UAE, mga office worker, meron mang into tech, mga boys naman at more on hardware sila..hay..walang makaintindi, kya dito ko sinsabi lahat ng frustration ko.
