"may nakapagsabi" doesn't mean it's a wise decision. Did he back you up with facts? o "sabi sabi" lang?
APU's crossfire (hybrid xfire) sounds cool, indeed. But the performance isn't that cool.
think this over..
the best card you can crossfire with a 5800k is the 6670. Well, that card is a bit weak by itself. And let's consider the price of the card pa. A brand new 6670 costs around 3500 pesos. By setting up crossfire, you lose ram, well kasi yung iGPU ng 5800k consumes a bit of it. So minus point for doing crossfire diba? When you're going to use a discreet GPU (not Xfire), pwede mo i-disable ang iGPU mo thus making you use all your ram, as ram. Good point or bad point? I let you decide.
Here's some benchmarks on a 5800k, a core i3 and a 6670.

as you can see, paiba iba ang performance ng dual graphics (aka hybrid xfire) sa ibat ibang games. Also, may stuttering issues pa ang setup ng crossfire, at may mga games na sablay ang performance when you use dual graphics. Single GPU setup parin ang best bang for the buck setup kung balak mo magkabit ng GPU sa isang setup. sa presyo ng 6670, pwede ka bumili na lang ng 7750, completely dominates that budget field.

kung tataas ng konti dyan ang budget mo, get a GTX 650, or GTX 650ti. On your 10k budget, I'll suggest you get either of the following cards, depende kung ano available or ano merong stock kung bibili ka na:
sub-7k gpu:
650Ti boost
HD 7790
then the rest of your budget (3k), get a decent power supply. Di ako familiar dyan sa NeoColor, unless that's a... NeoEco?
