the cable that connects your display to your gpu. from what ive watched, they connect the cable to the gpu and boot to windows so that the system will be able to recognize that you have a dgpu and to be able to install the necessary drivers. then they shut down, reattach the cable back to the motherboard port for the igpu, boot up, set igpu as primary, match the vram in the bios, continue to windows then enable dual mode in crimson.
