hi sir! di ako mag bibigay ng model ng laptop but i will give you advices on how to buy the laptop for you with that budget. di na kasi ako nag reresearch ng models kasi diretso na ako sa shop at nag cacanvas.
-Consider your activities: sa activities mo sir, i would prefer an i5, quadcore is the sweet spot for your activities.
-Budget: make sure sir na medyo flexible ka sa budget mo. just make sure na ready ka mag over the budget na mga 2-4k para marami kang choices. sa price range kasi na binigay mo, makakabili ka ng i5 , 4GB na laptops nyan. meron din 3rd Gen laptops (yung di pinapansin), mostly i7s costs 30-35k. kung makakita ka ng i7 na 4th or 5th gen within 30-35k, buy it, just tell your dad na malaki yung performance gain ng extra 5k nya.
-More RAM: make sure na 4GB or ask the shop if pwede mag upgrade to 8GB. most laptops with that price range comes with a 4GB ram. sa case sa budget, if makakabili ka nang i5 with 4 GB na ram, upgrade to 8 GB. and if makakahanap ka ng i7 with 4 GB ram, ipon mode ka muna for atleast a month and buy a sodimm stick for 8 GB. RAM hungry kasi yung applications na gagawin mo so need mo talaga yung ram.
-Graphics: intel graphics is okay. malaki na rin yung na improve ng intel graphics. so its okay to assume na makakaya ng intel graphics yung applications mo. but if may nvidia graphics yung laptop na pasok sa budget, buy it. just remember na mas important yung RAM kesa graphics card ng laptop. yan kasi ang weakness ng laptop, GRAPHICS, di ka makakahanap ng laptop na mura with nvidia graphics. eh yung gaming laptops nga 960M or 970M, equivalent lang ng 950 desktop graphics. so i dont find laptop graphics to be that signifcant, expect what to expect from a laptop grade graphics.
-Brand: in my experience, avoid lenovo, andami ko nang experience na nasisira yung hinge ng lenovo laptops ko. i would rather pick ASUS and ACER. sila lang yung may magandang track record when it comes to durability. if acer, pick travelmate kasi may upgrade path sila. and if ASUS, pick those with a numpad, na observe ko is if may numpad yung laptop, high specs or mid tier specs yun.
-SSD: i know mahal yung SSD, if makakaipon ka, buy an SSD. it will BOOST your reads and writes. improve loading times. and less risk sa hard disk damage which is common sa mga laptops.
Its my opinion and my advice to you sir, i bought almost 20 laptops, i base my opinions from my experience, sana makakatulong yan sa pag pili mo ng laptop mo. Just remember, if budget ng dad mo 25-30k, that doesnt mean na 30k lang yung ceiling, it can go higher if you can convince him.
