Here is the list presented by Aguilar to counter and void Mayweather’s win by unanimous decision.
1. Manny Pacquiao’s camp did not disclose the boxer’s rotator cuff injury in the medical questionnaire submitted before the fight.
2. Manny Pacquiao’s camp revealed that Manny was denied a legal injection to relieve the pain from his injured shoulder.
3. Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr should both have been examined by an independent medical doctor before the fight.
4. Pacquiao and Mayweather both weighed way over the welterweight maximum during their weight on Saturday even though both boxers did weigh under 147 pounds during the official weigh-in on Friday.
5. The judges’ summary scoresheet was not filled out correctly, casting doubt on whether it was Mayweather or Pacquiao who scored higher.
6. There was a lack of adequate “boxing” action as there were more hugs than punches during the 12-round fight.
7. Both camps violated the rule that no celebrities be allowed as part of the boxers’ official entourage. Justin Bieber was hanging out with Floyd Mayweather Jr. in his entourage and Manny Pacquiao had late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.
8. There were three national anthems sung during the fight — U.S., Philippine and Mexican national anthems. Many spectators were misled that Manny Pacquiao was Mexican as a result.
“There’s just too many missteps leading to and during the fight and we cannot sit here and just do nothing,” said Commission Chairman Francisco Aguilar. Because of the issue the Nevada Athletic Commission decided to void the unanimous decision of Floyd Mayweather Jr. win over Manny Pacquaio.
Aguilar also pointed out the lawsuits against Manny Pacquiao, the boxing promoter and even the Nevada Athletic Commission and said that “it is the commission’s responsibility to protect and preserve the integrity of professional boxing.”
