hello mga ka-symb, beginner/basic driving lang alam ko as of now, never ko pa na-try sa main highway, nakakatense kase pag may mga truck at bus. eh syempre, gusto ko po iimprove ung skill ko. nagbabalak po ako bumili ng 2nd hand na automatic para pagpraktisan, may family car po kami pero hesistant ako gamitin at baka magasgas or mabangga, problema pa. advisable pa po ba bumili ng affordable na matic for the meantime? pangpraktis lang then ireresale ko nalang later on. pa-advice narin po kung ano kayang model maganda? nasa isip ko kase mga 90's na lancer, mazda 323 at corolla. salamat po sa makakasagot. :):)

Buying a another vehicle just to practice is not practical in my opinion. I'm guessing you'd spend more than 100k to buy a decent second hand car. If you are careful then you shouldn't worry about damaging your family car especially if you will not drive like a raped ape. Of course shit happens but if you're very careful then I don't think you will spend 100k to fix your family car. Perhaps if you use the family car to practice you will take greater care of it and practice better.

thanks sa insight sir. ang impulsive ng idea i know. but, what if bumili ako para may pang practice then keep it, tapos iimprove later on? naiisip ko palang kase boses ni erpats parang di ko maapakan yun gas.

Bro ever heard of driving schools? tuturuan ka naman ng mga instructors ng lahat ng gustong malaman instead of spending thousands of pesos for car just to practice. And In my opinion, Mas OK magpraktis sa manual tranny kesa sa automatic. Mas sinasabing "Driver" ka pag both manual and automatic alam mo.

Buying your personal car is a better choice than buying a random car just to practice with it. If you choose to buy your own personal car then choose something that you like but consider if the parts are readily available. Or you can enroll in a driving school just like kelvinpogs said and use their car to practice.
