after ba ng pag update kailangan talaga mag factory reset?? sayang naman ung mga apps ko haha

ah ok salamat sir. kelangan ko na pla ulit mag root. hoho! question ulit meron n b pang root na mas madali yung copy paste lang din sa sd card tapos via recovery nalng?

No need although it is advisable. Hindi na ako nag Factory Reset eh.

V.37 + ROOT
Manual / offline update - http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?31o9guh1qhah8md

Requirements - fastboot mode and fastboot driver (fastboot driver included)

Note:
a.) Fastboot drivers should be installed. (Skip if you have it already)

b.) Be sure your Flare is on "usb debugging" mode.
b.1) Go to "Settings"
b.2) Choose "Developer options"
b.3) Check "usb debugging"


Steps:
1.) Unzip the file "update.zip" to a folder in your PC.

2.) Turn off your Flare.

3.) Press "Power Key and Volume Up" until the screen turns "Green or fastboot mode".

4.) Go to the folder where you extracted the "update.zip".

5.) Run the file "update.bat" and wait for a while.

6.) Follow the instructions and be patient.

7.) Enjoy!

Hindi na kailngan mag factory reset napansin ko lang parang mabagal gumising si flare pag pindot ng power button.

ah nakita ko nga yan dun sa kabila may nag post ndi ko plang ni try. mga ka Symb may nka try na b sanyo nung 1 clik update and root ni sir Ryan. feed back namn. hoho! thanks! :salute:

i did it! na root ko na ung flare ko, and updated na din.. thanks sa tutorial.. prob ko lng po hindi ko mainstall ung poweramp.. pano po ba dapat sa settings non? thanks po.. :)

Much smooth and responsive siya para sa akin. Try mo n lang, bro. If you don't like it, revert ka sa previous version mo. :salute:

No problem. Try going to "Settings" --> "Security" --> check "Unknown Sources". If ayaw, baka may problem sa app na nadl mo.

Magbackup ka na lang if you have any doubts just to be sure. Based on my experience, hindi nawala yung installed apps. Huwag ka lang magFactory Reset. Hehe.

Nope but may screen protector na po siya once you buy one. Bili ka na lang ng lalagyanan and tamang alaga. :thumbsup:

predicament:
hotswapping won't do, i always end up on bootloop.
i tried this.
it worked, but there's a major problem i encounter, it copied exactly the original partitions and i can not make it to extend my first partition and/or delete the unallocated and ext2 partition, which in my case i'd like my 1st partition to be 25Gbs and my ext2 be 4Gbs.

so i resort to:
backing up with titanium back-up pro using back-up/restore - ALL (RUN back-up all users apps+system data)

reformat my sd card with sd formatter
re insert sd card

boot on recovery (power + Volume up till the screen goes red move cursor with volume rack to wipe data/factory reset then power button to choose and then reboot)

re-partition my sd card

re-install link2sd again
re-install titanium back-up
, copy the back-up files then BATCH Back-up/restore ALL (RUN - Restore all apps with data).

and that's it. upgraded sd card:thumbsup:


NOTE:

TS / anyone can modify/simplify this method and please do post it on the first page for refference, i think this one will be handy for all CMF users who would want to upgrade sd card without re-installing all apps and losing all data(especially on their well-loved games)

gusto ko ksing iupdate sa 37 na hindi rooted..
kaso kapag nagfactory reset ako mabubura nanaman mga contacts..

kakaupdate ko lang to v37, pero bago ako mag upgrade to v37 tinangal ko muna yung sims ko., mga msgs ko hindi nwala nandun pa rin..

nagka issue lang sa akin yung power amp na apps ko, hindi na mainstall sabi "poweramp could not be installed. Free up some spcae and try again." Bakit pa ako magtatangal kung malaki pa nman free space sa SD ko. ano pwedeng gawin dito.

help guys sa mga nag update jan na meron power amp dati, working pa rin ba sa inyo?
