The Batman' Movie to Reportedly Go Into Production in 2019

Batman may not suit up again until 2019.

Director Matt Reeves recently?debunkedrumors that suggested he would be departing Warner Bros.’ upcoming solo Batman movie. That said, it seems like he won’t begin actually directing the film for at least another year.

According to?Heroic Hollywood, the film won’t begin production until 2019 because Warner Bros. already has three DC Films projects set to shoot in 2018.?Shazam?is already in production.?Wonder Woman 2?is set to follow after that, and then the Joker origin story movie thereafter.

If?The Batman?doesn’t start rolling until 2019, that means the film probably won’t be released until 2020 or 2021, eight or nine years after the last Batman solo movie,?The Dark Knight Rises. That will be the longest wait between solo Batman movies since the franchise was rebooted between?Batman & Robin?in 1997 and?Batman Begins?in 2005, and possibly the longest wait since Warner Bros. launched the modern Batman film franchise with Tim Burton’s?Batman?in 1989.

The last time Matt Reeves offered an update on the status of?The Batman?he stated that he has the story, though not the script, worked out.

Just because? The Batman?won’t open for another few years doesn’t mean fans won’t see Batman on screen. Ben Affleck - who has so far played Batman in?Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,?Suicide Squad, and?Justice League?- is rumored to appear in the upcoming Flash movie, titled?Flashpoint.

Henry Cavill Bids Farewell To His Moustache And Brilliantly Trolls Himself About It

EDWARD LAUDER

JUSTICE LEAGUE’S?HENRY CAVILL HAS SHAVED OFF HIS BEARD AND THEN POSTED A VIDEO ON FACEBOOK IN WHICH HE PERFECTLY TROLLS HIMSELF. THIS GUY IS THE REAL-LIFE SUPERMAN… ON THE INTERNET.

OK, so just in case you’ve been living under a rock for the past few months I’m going to go over the whole Henry Cavill moustache-gate thing. Basically, Henry Cavil filmed his scenes as Superman in?Justice League?and then started filming the new Mission Impossible movie,?Mission: Impossible – Fallout, for which he grew a lovely moustache (it actually really suited him). However, then Warner Bros. realised that they had to do reshoots for Justice League which required Cavill to return for the role. The problem is that Superman is clean shaven, and his character in MI6 is not. This all resulted in Superman having a very strange looking chin at times in?Justice League?and people thought it was rather amusing.

Well, it was pretty funny! But?Henry Cavill?is a good sport and doesn’t seem to mind people having a little joke at his expense. However, he’s now shaved off his beard and the video he posted on his?Facebook page?in which he reveals this is hilarious. Take a look at it below.

The best part of this video is when Cavill refers to his moustache as?“King stache”. He really is something else and seemed to deal with all the redicule with nothing but class and poise. He also looked really good with the moustache. It gave his face a rugged, handsome look. Hopefully, we’ll get to see him grow it again someday.

That said, we will get to see ‘King stache’ in full force in his upcoming movie,?Mission: Impossible – Fallout, which will be hitting UK cinemas on July 26th.
