OS independent sila. kaya lang akala mo hindi pwede kase WIndows lagi karamihan ginagamit sa mga laptop and desktoppero sa mga Critical infrastructure tulad ng POS (cash registr), Internet giants(google, facebook, etc) LInux o BSD (Unix) ang gamit

why not try virtualization instead of dual-booting?
you can try the free Oracle Virtualbox https://www.virtualbox.org/
virtualization is much powerfull than dual-booting.
