you can actually pay for unlocking.normally kasi if may software ka you still need credits(samsung tools). If i'm not mistaken around 800 lang ata binayad ko nung pinaunlock ko yung s8 ng kapatid ko via teamviewer lang yun.
flashing firmware will not remove the carrier locked.You just changed the firmware version.
