Hyundai Accent 1.6 diesel manual = Php 698,000
Toyata vios 1.3 J mt dual Vtt-I Manual =Php 637,000

both 2016 model.
help mo to decide guys.
thanks.

same dilemma ako, accent or vios, nag accent nalang kami kasi diesel sobrang tipid hindi naman totoo yung sirain yung korean cars, yung accent kasi may turbo to so yung dating mga taxi drivers hindi marunong mag alaga ng turbo kaya tendency nag break down yung turbo nila, kung magvvios ka oks din yun kaso mapapamahal ka nga lang sa gas every month, sa accent sobrang tipid at mabilis pa, 1.3 sa vios vs 1.6 sa accent, sisiw sa akytan sa accent kahit puno pa kayo sabi mo 5 kayo at kahit tagaytay/baguio kayo pumunta yakang yaka, sa vios medyo need mag effort ng kotse sa inclines so iddepress mo ng todo yung accelerator para maka akyat which means lakas lumaklak ng gas, nakakatuwa ung accent kasi malakas yung torque niya for a sedan pang truck yung torque kaya yung pulling power malakas talaga kahit 5 kayo at puno yung trunk niyo ng mga gamit.

You have to look at all aspect of owning a car. Are the spare parts readily and widely available for both cars? I'm sure parts for the Vios are widely available but I'm not sure about Hyundai. If the parts are widely available, are they affordable. Then you need to consider maintenance cost. What kind of oil do you need to use and how much does it cost? In the Vios, since it doesn't have a turbo, you can safely use mineral oil if you're on a budget and just change the oil regularly. On a turbo car, it's better to use fully synthetic and you need to follow strict intervals between change oil especially if you're not using fully synthetic. If you drive the car hard then you need to wait a few minutes before shutting down the engine to avoid the oil caking inside the turbo or you can have a turbo timer install. Since it's a diesel, you need to know how often you need to calibrate the injection pump. So, it's not purely based on the price or brand but also the operational/maintenance cost of it.

43 liters ang capacity ng tanke ng accent, so 3.5 liter per bar you do the math.

makiki sali po.

oo tipid accent kasi diesel given na yan

pero tandaan natin na in the long run.. magastos ang diesel sa pyesa.

mahal ang pyesa ng diesel pag nasisira

resale value... go for toyota
mura parts... toyota
madali i maintain ... toyota
reliability... toyota

SUV= diesel
sedan=gasoline

if i were you ts, i'd go with the toyota.

just my 0.1 cent.

sir EURO 4 compliant na po ang mga diesel natin.. so same quality na sa ibang bansa.

toyota avanza niya 3 months palang tumirik...

im saying is brand perspective is subjective.. hindi porket my bad exp na yung isa sa brand eh ganun din yung exp ng iba sa brand na yun.

vios e 2016 owner here
have a friend who owns accent diesel 2015

fuel consumption plus power, no doubt hyundai accent
everything else, toyota vios

i hope you get the idea

and please, don't even consider the wigo nor avanza, they are not real toyotas. they are rebadged daihatsu.
just my two cents, no fanboying.. good bye! :salute:

EDIT:
and NO, diesel here in the philippines suck, trust me..
try going to tsikot . com as well for better advise..

or if kung gusto mo maporma, mag honda city ka.

let's analyze your statement little by little

fuel consumption plus power, no doubt hyundai accent
everything else, toyota vios

Hyundai Accent vs Toyota Vios

-Power - Hyundai
-Fuel Consumption - Hyundai
-Reliable - could be both

(this is subjective it also depends on the factor of how it's being used, yes there are some instances that hyundai is perceived as "not being reliable" by some brand fanatics, i'm not saying like you but some people, but man some people are just plain ignorant about automotive, you know a typical filipino "just go with the flow" but consider this. yes toyota is reliable that's a fact well i say the same for hyundai they are constantly improving their products to a suprisingly large margin they managed to become a top 3 seller in some countrie, here also and doing an outstanding job in australia their i30 outselling the competition, ranking number 1 in vehicle sales beating the other japanese counterpart vehicles, i personally know some drivers with ridiculous high mileage on their accents and it's still running up to this day, where some toyotas tend to breakdown at said mileage comparativley to hyundai.

-Parts - both

well hyundai parts here in philippines are abundant, go to banawe and ask if they have parts for hyundai in a beat they will say "yes"

please elaborate why it sucks, here's my take diesel before is euro 2 which means it contains too much sulfur which means it bad for the environment, now diesel here is euro 4 which means low sulfur content less smoky = good for environment

Although Hyundai has come a long way especially in design pero mas subok na talaga ang Toyota. They are not no. 1 globally for nothing. I know a doctor who bought a brand new Sante Fe. He went out of town and it broke down on his way home. But not all Hyundai are like this but I think, for now, it's still a hit or miss thing.
