Internet Cafe Problems

Gud day po mga sir. Ako po nagmamanage ng internet cafe namin (bantay/tech/maintenance) madalas may mga naeencounter na problems na sana po matulungan nyo ako.


1. Downloading

-marami pong customer na mahilig mag download ng mga malalaking files lalo na anime. Ok lang naman po sana, kasu higop na higop nya ung bandwith kaya tumataas ung ping nung mga online gamers. Anu po kaya mgandang gawin para ma limit ko po yung mga ganun nila (pati narin video streaming). Example limit ko lang sa 100kb/sec yung download speed nila.

2. Uploading

-marami din po tayung mga customers na mahilig mag upload ng photos. Pag may nagu-upload mas malala pa sa download ang nangyayari. Pag may nagupload na, automatic disconnect lahat ng nago-online games, pipitik sa 1k ung ping ng LOL na normally is 15-20 ping lang. Di ko alam kung bakit nangyayari ito, at kung anung gagawing remedyo d2.

3. Software installation

-meron din pong mga customer na nagi-install ng softwares like utorrents. Nka deepfreeze naman ako so pag restart wala na kaya lang yung iba mautak iniinstall sa nka thawed na drive. Ung mga games ko kasi nka hiwalay ng partition para kahit nka deepfreeze pag nag patch ung game hindi mawawala.

4. Headphones

-mejo walang kinalaman sa software pero isama ko na din. Ito ang no. 1 nasisira sa cafe ko. Anu po bang brand ang maganda at ung hindi naman masyadong kamahalan?

5. Online game patching

-isa rin sa mga bwiset sa shop ay ung madalas na pagupdate ng games. Ang lalaki na nga (Especially DOTA 2 halos araw araw update tapos ang lalaki pa) kailangan mo pa ipatch lahat ng PC isa isa. May nagamit dati akong software GCafe Pro which is auto updating ng mga clients kasu nga lang bukod sa dagdag pa sa bayarin (1k/month), nagco-conflict sya sa handycafe at deepfreeze. Meron po bang alternative na software na free katulad nito?


6. Diskless Solution?

-ito question lang po, may naririnig kasi ako about sa diskless solution na ito maganda po ba ito? Kung iisipin mo tipid sa kuryente, bawas init, at tipid din sa budget kasi di na need ng HDD ng mga computers kaya lang, ang kinakaba ko ay baka bumagal ang pag access ng files kasi nga 1 HDD lang ang gamit. Mas maganda rin sana ito sa pagpapatch ng games di mo na kailangang i patch isa isa.


Yun lang po pasensya na sa mahaba at maraming tanong sana po ay may makatulong . Pwede na rin po ito maging guide para sa ibang internet cafe owners kung may question din sila. Maraming salamat po.

Yung sa diskless magayan xa..
Pero mero ang sa mga clients kasi di na need ang hdd..
Pero saserver ka babawi..
Dapat malaki ang ram mo may nakita ako 16gb ang gamit
dapat naka ssd ka para sa os mo
at 1 to 2 tb ang gamit mo para sa mga application at games kasi doon naka direct ang mga games ng client..

Use this app- netlimiter, I've heard one of my friends using this app to limit the download speed of the clients on his shop

This really is such a pain in the ass when you have a lot of client pc's, it will really cost you time, so I think solution will be on your number 6


6. Diskless Solution?

Havent surveyed any user of this solution yet, but I think this is efficient when it comes to cost.
But you would need to be equipped first of how to use the Solution with ease, I had asked some computer retailers in QC and they recommend this solution.
Best if you can survey like 3 to 5 LAN shops using this solution and see how their business is doing.

gud day po. sasagutin ko lang ang number six. And yes, maganda po ang diskless kasi yung problem of updating and patching ay minsan lang gagawin. with a simple click of a button lahat ng clients ay updated na. At with no problems of the user tinkering the settings of your client computers. Just a simple restart lang at balik ulit lahat sa original settings mo sa pc nayun. Kumbaga parang me deepfreeze imbedded ka na without having any deepfreeze app.

Magastos lang pagdating sa mga neceessities.. the server, the switch and cables. And also sa mismong diskless solution/ software na gagamitin mo.. others may benefit from having a license key and same with having "cracked" the same app.

mukang interisado kosa diskless clients.. kaso hindi ko alam kung papano gawin to.. baka po may nakaka alam or may thread na nito dito sa sb paki naman po ng link or share naman po..

-ginawa ko dito deepfreeze lang.. dalawa ang partition ko isang C:// for the system at isang D:// for the apps. like games etc.
-para maitago ko yung Disc D:// gumamit ako ng Cafe Serve ito po yung ginamit ko..

sa server na yan marami kang maglimit.. like pwede mong itago yung ibang disk na hindi kelangang makita ng mga customers.
yung system hindi mabubuksan ni customer..

2. Uploading

-dito hindi ko ito masyadong problema kaya hindi pa ko humahanap ng solution.

3. Software installation

deepfreez lang kaya na ito.. wag mong deepfreez yung "Disc D://" protected naman na sya ng server.. hindi na makakapag save ng downloaded data si customer dito..

4. Headphones

-headphone bumili ko sa CDR king lang dati may tig 90 sila.. at maganda sya tumunog.. pero ngayun wala na kong makita.. kaya ang ginawa ko.. bumili ako ng RCA wire at yung dulo ng MP3.. ako nalang nag nag rerepair..

5. Online game patching

-Since na hindi naka deepfreez yung Disc D:// natin pwedeng mag pa patch si customerkahit sya lang.. nag aadd nalang ako ng time sa kanya.. mabilis lang naman mag patch ang Dota2, LOL, etc.. pero yung CF pag bagong patch matagal yun. kaya ako nalang nag papatach sa madaling araw.. tyaga lang ^_^


6. Diskless Solution?

-ito ang hindi ko pa alam.. kaya sana may mag bigay ng tutorial nito dito sa SB ^_^

1. dOWNLOADING - GINAWA KO tinangal ko ang ytd, idm at iba pang downloader,...naglagay ng deepfreeze, nag lagay ng installblock-sa install block naka blocklist ang mga word na install/.exe/apk/ etc na mga names na ayaw mong magamit. sa downloading ginawa ko sa browser is update ng update lang palage kasi pag updated ang firefox mo or chrome ang idm hindi siya mag automatic download na di tulad ng firefox version 21 na pag PLAY MO NG YOUTUBE automatic may lalabas na download now, di ba...so mangyayare ay sa default downloader ng browser allabas which is mabagal, pwera na lang ay kung naka dsl ka. if malakas ang net mo like dsl so better use netlimter or configure your router QOS. or better use load balancer router.

2.upload- upload of picture through facebook parang QOS na lang ng router pag asa para ma control.

3. software installation- specially sa online games dapat alam mo san nakalagay ang application data mo,... karamihan sa ginagawa namin is nag papa patch ng isang pc din kopyahin na lang ang application data din paste sa ibang client, btw pisonet ang gamit ko, meron akong network folder ginawa which is accessible sa lahat ng pc para lahat ng mga files ko doon na lang lagay at i access na di na kilangan ng usb storage. i am using 3 connection ngayun, isa is pang facebook, din pang games, din 3rd is back up... at nilagyan ko ng ip changer.. whenever magka trouble ang isang connection automatic nag switch ako ng ip. yung lahat ng iISP ko is under 1 subnet sila..

4.headphones- gamit ko ay a4 tech yung tig 140 which is matibay na din, wag ka bibili ng airphone na may dalawang wire , ibig sabihin ko ay yung airphone na yung iisang wire lang ang dumadaan sa left at tsaka yung phone is yung parang sa call center.. basta a4 tech model nun.may nakita ako sa ulop na matibay daw at pang net cafe try mo yun....

5. online ptching- nasa number 3 na pala.

6. diskless- ito maganda , cheaper pero more head aches... bakit? need mo ito na ma master, if aasa ka lang sa technician dito wag na lang. dapat ikaw ang may alam and need talaga dito expert sa networking.... maraming problema ito boss, kung wala kang alam dito wag nag mag diskless... gagastos ka lang.



recommendation-- yung internet cafe, wala yan sa paano ka nakakatipid sa pag set up...dapat gagastos ka... tignan mo ang market area mo, if malapit sa school, wag kang aasa sa net rental, mag focus ka sa printing...nasa printing ang pera. yung gaming magkano lang yan, maingay pa...if mag focus ka sa printing yung sampung piso madali lang yan kumpara sa gaming isang oras .

Mga bossig pa OT po newbie lang po sa networking...

am plang to have a compshop ang kilala ko lang po yong lan cable and lan card, patulong sana pano mag set-up win7 64bit na os.

ano po pagkaka-iba switch at switch hub at saka yong router, tapos meron pang wired and wireless router guide po kung anong bibilhing mga componenets sa pag network. may mga nag seset-up din dito kaya lang baka lokohin lang ako. tapos with diagram sana kung po-pwedi kung pano kabit kabitin yong mga comp.

boss pag gumamit ka ng USB stick para netcafe bumili ka ng 3G/4G router yung TP Link brand..saksak mo USB mdem mo dun din saksak mo sa LAN port ung mga PC's mo..yung ang gamit ko ngayjn dito sa province..wlang landline eh..
