Law students pasok!

plan ko po kasi magLAW, eh need ko magshift and now i am taking Banking and Finance.

First year law student here as well... Grabe, ang hirap ng law, it's like reconfiguring your mind to work in a totally new way... I am currently enrolled at AUF School of Law... It is indeed a 4-year course. Best pre-law course? Most of my upper classmates have BS Accountancy (the best since many of the subjects have accountancy-related topics) degrees, even Masterals at that course... So yeah, eto ata yung pinakamagandang pre-law course according to the majority of the population here...

waiting here... hope to practice soon!

Pre-law ko BSCriminology at Baguio Colleges Foundation (now University of the Cordilleras)...
LlB ko: Saint Mary's University (Probinsya lang)

Best Pre-law course: BS Accountancy

Why?: malaking advantage for the Bar Exams.. Taxation law is 10% while mercantile law is 15% of the total 100% composition ng Bar exams. You now have 25% more or less insured points. dagdagan mo nalang ng points from Criminal law, labor law, legal ethics, political law then pasado ka na...

Another why?: pag pumasa ka na, go for corporate lawyering (malaki sweldo)... pag hindi ka pumasa (at wala talagang pag-asang pumasa) magpractice ka nalang, in demand ang accountants ngayon

:)

i'm a political science senior student. For me it's really a big big factor when planning to take up

Law after.

Governance, Public Administration atbp.

I agree. Kailangan may good command of the English language pero I don't think it matters kung anuman prelaw course mo. May faculty member sa school namin na parehong Atty and Engr ang title to think na both courses is entirely different w/ each other. :-) As long as masipag ka magbasa at may determination ka to pass the subject then its possible na makasurvive ka sa law school. :-)

i know someone who is a double degree engineer and also a lawyer,

:lol::rofl::lmao::dance::beat::clap::yipee:

in what way? ang alam ko kce it will shorten the period of study

mga law students, ilang years ba ang law? 10 years?

Law is 4 years then review while waiting for bar exam proper. Then bar exam...4 sundays of the month.

Though it help in initial year, Di naman talaga ganun kalaking factor ang pre law course. I know one who is an Engineer na nagtake ng law, He passed. Now he is an engineer and a lawyer.
:)

Hi! Ano pa bang magandang reference for Obligations and Contracts? My professor according to my schoolmates prefers De Leon's book pero parang masyadong simplified siya para sakin. Gusto ko sana one book for deeper analysis then another book na simplified version.

(Tulad ng ginawa namin sa Persons last sem... Rabuya and Sta. Maria which was a perfect combo para sakin)

Hmm.. thanks in advance sa makakasagot! :)
