Ito na ba ang official thread ng LG Optimus 4x? Mukhang hindi masyadong napapag-usapan itong unit na ito ah. Tingin ko pa naman this is great unit considering na quad-core na sya, and at the same time mura. Mukhang underrated lang talaga dahil mas kilala yung ibang brands. But still I consider this as a steal sa mga kalaban nyang quad-core.

Any feedback guys sa unit na ito? TIA..

how to root our p880-(JELLY BEAN VERSION)
ROOT MAY VOID WARRANTY, DO AT YOUR OWN RISK
1. Download rooting kit and extract anywhere on your PC
DOWNLOAD LINK : http://www.uploadtak.com/images/j794_root.rar
2. Restart your phone. Hold Power & VOL DOWN simultaneously while phone goes reboot. You will enter Android System Recovery
3. Connect your phone to PC.
4. Choose menu "Apply update from ADB" using volume down button, then press Power to confirm.
This yellow message will appear: 'Now send the package you want to apply to the device with "adb sideload <filename>"'.
5. Go to extracted folder on PC, double-click ROOT.BAT
6. Progress message will appear.
After finish it will go back to main menu recovery.
7. Select "reboot system now" and press power
8. After booting to home screen, check if Superuser app appear on app list.
9. Finish. You may verify root access using Root Checker or simply running app which requires root access.

copy these apps to your system/app via root explorer replace/delete the stock applications(make sure copy nyu muna mga stock applications na irereplace nyu).. set permission to rw-r-r then reboot

yupp yan gnamit ko pang root..alam ko rin paano mag unroot para maibalik ang warranty gamit ang kdz firmware upgrade(If ever d nyu pa alam about dyan)..saka kinaganda nun pwde mu iunbrick ang phone mu gamit ang method na yun(nangyari na sa akin ilang beses)

saka pwde ka pumili ng versions ng phone mu(european,philippine..etc..)

HOW TO UNROOT OR RECOVER SOFTBRICKED LG P880 VIA FLASHING KDZ FILE( TESTED ON JELLY BEAN VERSIONS... V20A-V20C..D KO PA NATRY SA ICE CREAM SANDWICH VERSION)

Preparation:
-1!!! READ CAREFULLY
-2!!! DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK..IM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY MISHAPS OF YOUR PHONE
-3!!! IF 1 AND 2 IS CLEAR THEN LETS PROCEED!!!!

Download the kdz file of your interest (ANY VERSION OF YOUR CHOICE...I TRIED EU V20A and PHILIPPINE V20A) from http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=15
Download the necessary Windows softwares here http://www.4shared.com/zip/Gl2T6aLJ/KDZ_FW_UPD_P880.html


Recovering steps:

-Extract the KDZ_FW_UPD_EN.zip anywhere
-Open extracted folder and Install msxml.msi (located in \KDZ)
-Install B2CTools LG ( B2CAppSetup.exe )

-Open LG Mobile Support tool(if you still dont have it yet then download here :http://www.lg.com/sg/support-mobile/lg-Optimus-4X-HD-P880)
-then select country and click install usb driver, look for LG-P880 then install

Now turn off your phone and remove battery

Now just hold down vol - key ( hold hold hold dont release !!!! ) and plug the USB cable until you get screen like this

Wait for while due to yr computer will install some driver .You can see it installing on the task bar tray Once the install is complete find "Device Manager" > Modems > disable the LGE Mobile USB Modem on yr computer ( me using win 7 -----> start ---> computer ---> right click / and you can find device manager )

-THEN PUT BACK YOUR BATTERY(Your phone needs more power from your battery to complete the process)

-then run as administrator KDZ_FW_UPD.exe from the extracted downloaded folder

-Run as administrator Windows Enabler.exe from the extracted folder . After run the app, an icon will appear on your tray, single-click on the icon util the "ON" text appears over the icon like this

-Go back to KDZ, locate press on the yellow folder and locate the .kdz file that you want to flash

Then Launch software update!!

AGAIN MAKE SURE YOU PUT YOUR BATTERY BACK..If not the phone will dont have the power to continue the upgrade then if that happens you should restart your pc..and start from the beginning again(nangyari na sakin :P)

Ignore the error log, it's normal, just click OK over the notification and let the software-updating progress finish about 5-7 minutes

wait the phone to reboot and boom!!! your phone is ok!..parang update lang..you may do factory reset your phone to clear some lag(make sure to have a back up first)

this process wont work for downgrading JELLYBEAN TO ICE CREAM SANDWICH/ V20-V10 (Sinubukan ko na :P)

super thanks sir jef...mejo badboy nga lang ako..pagkaroot nag unroot agad ako...ahahah tapos root again...astig nga pala ung sa LG G2 keyboard mas maganda nga kesa sa stock keyboard...anyway,,, naka stock rom ka ba sir? o naka custom rom na?
