NO Software Required. Simple Lock your Folder, with these Few Steps. Ive tried it, and works great. Ive only tried it on Windows Xp, SP2.
IM not sure, if it works on other OS as well. but its harmless, so try it out.

Steps:

1- make a new folder ( name it as you like )

2- inside this folder make a ( TXT ) file & copy inside it this (the entire thing)

3- After u copy the Commanding go to line 23 (or try using shortcut- CTRL+F and type password to locate the line) u will find this word : password here (Change it with any password u like.) is :

eg: if NOT %pass%== narnia1234 goto FAIL
//so ur password here becomes narnia1234 .//

4- After that go to file and save as & name this file as "locker.bat "

5- Now back to the folder & u will find a ( LOCKER ) commanding.
(locker.bat)

6- Double Click on it & u will find a new folder (Private )

7- Ok ,, now copy what u want in this "private Folder" & after that come out of the folder, and Double click on locker again. It will open and ask if you want to lock your folder? Y/N ?

8- Type Y. your private folder will dissapear.

9- If you want to UNLOCK your folder ,go to (locker) & type your pass and you will see your private folder.

it not only hides the fodler, but incase, u unhide all files... and try opening it without entering password, it'l take u to the control panel...

Also, if u want to store files on your Pen-Drive, u can use this script. No Software Required

Incase u delete your Locker file (just in case), then u can make a new one (but with the same password) and open it from that.

Alternatively, u can keep this locker file somewhere else, and when u want to open ur folder, only then bring it back to that place..

may dinagdag lang po ako sa script nyo author. ung naka blue font color after md Private xe po nung nagtry ako tpos try ko i-delete eh nabura ung folder or ung control panel, so wala na rin ung file, then nung nagtry ako magdagdag ng alam ko tpos nagtry ko i-delete hindi nabura ung folder pati ung files sa loob..

suggest ko lang po na make sure meron kayo back up ng locker.bat na ginawa nyo sa kahit sa windows na walang nakakaalam xe pag binura nila yang locker.bat nyo di nyo na mabubuksan ang folder nyo unless pumunta ulit kayo dito para kopyahin ung code, eh pano kung walang internet? paano na..
save nlng kayo kahit sa flash drive nyo or enclosure kung meron

or mas maganda tago nyo nlng ung locker.bat tpos pag gagamitin nyo na ung folder nyo copy/paste nyo nlng dun sa loob ng folder na pinaglagyan nyo ng locked folder.. para safe
kahit burahin ng kung sino yan di yan basta basta mabubura, lalabas lang

pero di oobra sa expert. kahit naka-hide at walang batch file kaya ko pa rin buksan. (JUST RENAME THE FILE OR FOLDER)

@badoy: tama po.. rename ko rin na-access ko din yung hide na files ko.. hahaha

siguro may code para i-write protect din yung folder para di mabura at ma-rename.. attach ko na rin yung ginagamit kong bat-to-exe converter..
