Mar Roxas concedes: Digong, I wish you success

Emotions ran high at the Liberal Party headquarters as Administration standard-bearer Manuel “Mar” Roxas II officially concedes to the apparent winner of the presidential race Mayor Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday, May 10.

“Galangin at tanggapin natin pasya ng ating mga kababayan. Ayon sa unofficial count ng Comelec, malinaw na si Mayor Rodrigo Duterte ang magiging susunod na pangulo ng Pilipinas” (Let us respect and accept the decision of our fellow citizens. According to the unofficial count of the Comelec, it’s clear that Mayor Rodrigo Duterte will be the next president of the Philippines),” Roxas said.

Rodrigo Duterte, as of May 10, 2016, 12:41:15 PM got 15,321,784 votes already while Roxas is on the second place with 9,233,431 votes.

“Digong, I wish you success. Ang iyong tagumpay ay tagumpay ng ating sambayanan at ng ating bansa (Your success is the success of our people and our nation),” he said in his speech.
