I wish that some people from Davao city give their opinion about Mayor Duterte... Ive never been to Davao, I don't know Duterte (just thru the media). Recently he came to Puerto Princesa city to talk about federalism... he has a good point in my opinion! But I'm a little bit scared that this guy is a dictator in the making! am I wrong? Is life in Davao really better since he is mayor?
Sir within this regards to your opinion with our Mayor..He has the capable of being a president but sad to say he wont run as president. What Mayor Digong (RODRIGO RONOA DUTERTE) real name po nya is to stabilized and put the city where people want peace and order.I was born and raise here in davao...People may call mindanao as a war AREA but choose DAVAO as the 3rd most livable city in the world..Kung maglalakad ka ng 12-4am pauwi ng bahay walang kabado kasi city is secured and POlice roamed 24hours.. Life is here in davaO.! JUliana Palermo d2 na nninirahan dn..
nakapunta na ko sa davao at ngstay ng 1 month i think.. ang davao? oo malinis at my curfew.. at bawal uminom sa labas ng bahay or sa kalye dahil sa kulungan ang bagsak mo.. or kung di man mga nanlalatigo sa mga tambay ...mga masasamang elemento sa davao? pirmes my mga pinaglagyan na.. compare sa manila mas safe ka sa davao
Thank you both of you for your input! That's good to know how Davao city seems to be very safe... For me I'm very interested in his idea of federalism for the Philippines. I think it's a far better way to govern the country and achieve peace in Mindanao, better than the BBL indeed which I cannot approve, although I am a true peace lover and pacifist!
Duterte is Foreign (USA) educated. And yes, he is a strong man but let me tell you, my first trip to Davao was an eye opener.
No squatters on the street or in the public areas. Clean streets for the Philippines.
No smoking in public buildings, and a working 911 system.
You don't have to bribe the police to do their job or the ambulance driver to take you to the hospital.
You can FEEL the change in peoples attitude, their life has had a few of the everyday problems removed.
In the Philippines strength and power has always been used by the ones in power.
Hopefully Duterte will use it for the people.
His history would make one think he will.
By the way, he does not hate foreigners. My sister in law knows him personally since she is a noted MD in Davao.
She is sold on his desire to help the Philippines
Duterte is now #3 in the polls! WOO HOO!
