background check:

It's not a good idea to bring the rpm to 6000 during a cold start. Since it started after replacing your compressor magnetic clutch then have the shop check for problems. The idle control system of your car should raise the idle when you turn on the ac. It seems from your description that it's not working properly. It could be many things from vacuum leak (a vacuum hose was accidentally removed), idle control system suddenly not working, a ground is not installed after it was removed or wasn't tighten, or the compressor is experiencing high pressure. If the one who replace the magnetic clutch wasn't able to find it then bring it to a better shop.

In a way, medyo magkapareho tayo ng experience up to the part na sobrang baba ng idle.

No, you're not going to tell them that there is something wrong with your magnetic clutch because it may or may not be the cause of the problem. Like I said from my previous post, it might or might not be a connection to the magnetic clutch. Just tell the mechanic all the issues that your car is having and then tell him that the most recent work that's been done to your car is replacing the magnetic clutch and replacing of fuel pump. Then it's his job to look for the problem. It could be on of the things I mentioned in my previous post or not at all or it could be the mass air flow sensor.

You can try Servitek or Speedyfix or Dallas.

You didn't mention what car. I think your problem is with your idle control system or idle up solenoid or iacv. 400 rpm without aircon is low. Usually it should be around 700-750rpm without aircon. Try bringing it to a reputable shop to diagnose it.

Vios 2006, second-hand. Acquired January of 2015.

Sometimes they refer to the idle up solenoid as servo. If that was clean then it should have resolved the problem unless the servo is dying already. It seems that there is something wrong with your cold start system. Typically, vehicle will idle at around 1000-1500rpm upon start up then it will slowly go down once the temperature of the engine goes up. In your case, your car starts at low rpm.

Try resetting the ecu by:
1. Remove the negative terminal of the ecu with the engine COLD. Reconnect the negative terminal after an hour. Turn the ignition to ON (DO NOT START THE ENGINE), press the gas pedal fully then release. Do this for a couple of times. Then turn the ignition off. After that, start the car and see if there's any improvement.

If no. 1 doesn't work, try this:
2. With the engine cold and all accessories/lights/aircon are OFF, start the engine and let it idle for a few seconds then step on the gas and keep the speed at 3000rpm UNTIL THE RADIATOR FAN COMES ON TWICE. After the rad fan comes on twice, release the gas pedal and drive around for a while with the aircon OFF.

If resetting the ecu doesn't work, try to clean the throttle body if you know how to. Otherwise, look for another mechanic and have it check again. It would also be helpful if you can borrow another working idle control valve or servo to check.

actually yung sakin, kapag nagstart naman sya (cold start) 1.2k RPM, so no problem.

Servitek and Dallas shouldn't be expensive. Servitek has many branches while Dallas is in Tomas Morato. Speedyfix is in San Juan and a little pricey but they do good work.

Judging from your description, I'm guessing that there's something wrong with your idle air control solenoid. Another very less likely possibility is the ecu. You are experiencing drop idle problem. I have experienced that in my car before especially with the air conditioning on and I would remove the idle air control solenoid and clean it with carb cleaner and compress air. After that everything will be good. On very rare occasions, I would need to clean the throttle body as well. There are instances when cleaning will not solve anything anymore and that's when you need to replace the unit. Another check that you can try is, when your car is warmed up and idling at a normal 700 rpm, remove the electrical connector of the iacv and see if the idle will drop (it should) then plug it back in, the idling should increase. If not, then there's a big chance it's your iacv. You can do the same thing too with the idling at 400rpm.

Try other shop, because, a good shop or mechanic should somehow have an idea then he'd start from there especially if he's been working on cars everyday.

The IACV/servo is a mehanical part getting a signal from the ECU. In time, the part wil get dirty since air passes through it. So when the idling is behaving badly, that's the first thing you clean. Then next is the throttle body. Other vehicles also has an IACV/servo and it gets dirty as well. Sometimes troubleshooting these idling gremlins need a systematic approach.
