PLDT PLDT Home Fibr Thread

Kung sino man dito ang nagbabalak na mag subscribe sa PLDT, please lang kung may ibang option kayo as much as possible wag kayo mag PLDT.

Last year 3 months mahigit kami nawalan ng internet.

Ngayon wala nanaman connection. 4 days na. May problem daw sa area (Cavite) pero wala man lang ako mabasa na nagrereklamo o kahit update man lang.

Nakakainis na. Nakakasawa.

Haay buhay!

Torrent downloads are now being throttled by PLDT. Our internet speed is 40Mbps down and up. Whenever I download usually torrents or sometime use IDM, speeds are limited to just 10Mbps across the board. Meaning max speed overall (not just downloading) is just 10Mbps. I tried VPN and still does not resolve the issue.

try to speedtest on different server across the asia and europe us then you'll see

torrent kase nakadepende sa seeders kung marami or kung mabilis ang upload speed ni seeder - nagpapapasahan kayo dito ng file eh parang transfer pero peer to peer transfer

in the other site naman na pinagdodownloadan mo may iba talaga na yung pinagdodownloadan mo na server eh may mga limit pero idk much better to test your internet speed using different speed test sites sa google

please take note that bit is for speed and byte is for size.... so your pldt subscription is 40 megabit per second (divided by 8) = 5 megabytes per second is the download speed, usually torrent and idm display their download speed in bytes and if you are getting 10 megabytes/s then your internet speed is 80 megabit/s - i suspect you have a speedboost (double speed)... its not throttled after all

You might already know this, so it's FYI to others.

Whenever there's connection or speed problem, I always use the PLDT/Smart location nearest to my place for speedtest (OOKLA). That's the maximum bandwidth PLDT is giving a subscriber, and it should correspond with his internet plan. If the readings are way below his plan's max bandwidth, try the next nearest office. If it's the same result, then there's probably a connection problem between his place and PLDT. In this case, he does not even have to perform speedtest with other spots abroad.

If connection between your place and the PLDT office is good but you're having bandwidth problem with a location abroad, you might want to use tracert to check issues along the route. In my experience, it helps a lot.

hindi lang torrenting, kahit anung download like using IDM or even downloading any file. Throttled yung speed to 10Mbps. I tried watching 4K youtube video and view the overall speed of my isp on task manager and it reaches 40Mbps but when I download a file while watching that 4K youtube video, the overall speed slows down to 10Mbps sa task manager.

^ ganito, gumamit ka na cat6e lan cable and connect it from gigabit lan1 ng fiberuno to your pc directly, do not use the supplied lan cable from pldt kasi 4 wires ang laman nun.... then do speedtest and try mo magdownload using idm.... kung 10 megabit pa rin yun nakukuha mo then baka may issue yun lan port ng pc mo, pwedeng naka active yun power saving or set power settings to high performance.... mas ok kung gigabit lan yun pc mo

Or try mo android phone with dual band ac wifi (i use j7pro pang test), connect ka sa 5ghz ng fiber uno kasi yun 5ghz nyan ay nasa 300 mbit and yun 2.4 is 300mbit connection speed based sa intel wifi 5100 ng laptop ko.... then open sa settings ng speedtest and set it to MB/s (megabytes per second) instead of Mb/s (megabit per second) and check kung ilan nakukuha mo

Baka naka-off.
