sinubukan ko din dati gumawa ng sariling website for chatting purposes pero tinamad na ako imaintain
ngayon kasi more on teams na gamit sa chats at voice/video share,,tapos kung personal stuffs naman madalas discord nalang ginagamit para wala kana iintindihin imaintain

kung marami kang time,,why not, interesting yan pamparefresh din ng knowledge yan sa programming kasi kung continuous mo ginagamit yung skills mo,,di kana mahihirapan sa mga interviews or sa mga biglaang needed sa work na code fixes since nadadaanan mo or fresh pa sa memories mo.
Sa part ko kasi,,wala na akong time ngayon sa personal stuffs,,more on itinutulog ko nalang yung free time ko after work

Hackers can hide malware in Windows event logs​

The Windows event log and Event Viewer are supposed to help users diagnose security issues and other problems in PCs. However, Kaspersky researchers encountered one hacker who used the event log itself against their target.

Last week, Kaspersky published a detailed analysis of a complex attack that began last fall. It involved a combination of various techniques and pieces of software, but Kaspersky's security researchers highlighted the use of Windows event logs as something completely new.

At one stage of the hacking campaign, the attacker inserted shellcode into the target's Windows event logs. This method of storing malware is particularly stealthy because it leaves no files for antivirus to detect.

The campaign also involved a large suite of both commercial and home-brewed software. It involved DLL hijacking, a trojan, anti-detection wrappers, web domain mimicking, and more. The attacker even personally signed some of their custom software to make it look more legitimate.

The scale and uniqueness of the attack indicate it was tailored toward a specific target system. The first step involved social engineering, in which the attacker convinced the victim to download and run a .rar file from the legitimate file-sharing site file.io in September. If nothing else, this should be a reminder against clicking on links from strangers, much less downloading and running files from them.

Kaspersky couldn't link the attack to any known suspects, or determine its ultimate purpose. However, the researchers told BleepingComputer that similar attacks usually aim to grab valuable data from their targets.

System Administrator here sa isang global company sa Makati, pero dahil sa pandemic permanent work from home na ako..

So far hinahandle ko ung infrastructure ng company for APAC, then sa patching side naman ng mga servers global handle ko using SCCM.
dito kasi since konti lang kaming IT madami kaming minamanage like more than 1000+ servers physical and virtual, Microsoft teams, vcenter, azure etc etc..

ayan sample ng ginagawa ko ngayon, pinag sama sama ko lang sa isang screenshot hehehe

try mo yung MS AZURE at yung kay ALIBABA CLOUD... may mga online training sila..

Ano mga ginagawa niyo after virus attack? Baka pwede pa kayo magsuggest ng options to solidify yung security within the network.

Eto mga ginawa namin so far after ng attack:

• Limited access thru USB port for all users
• Updated and limited Sophos Endpoint Security Rules for web, app & file access
• Disabled access to mobile wifi for all users (except managers - we created a guest account for mobile phone wifi access)
• Removed all remote applications like anydesk, teams & unwanted apps for all users.
• Purchased gotoassist remote expert license to safely remote access computers
• Updated the list of users for our Aruba Wifi Network
• Created a log for all types of request for wifi access, usb, lan, netextender vpn access.
• Updated IP range to class B
• Replaced old managed switches

sa Teams sir ung Direct Routing para ma connect natin ung teams to SBCs para ma enable ung voice calling feature, so for example dito sa company ko may mga pbx kami na audiocodes (dating SFB voice system namin), then we migrated to MS Teams and still able to use the device.. para din ma configure mo ung on-prem PSTN using MS teams client..
