E3 2011: Introducing PlayStation Vita, aka NEXT GENERATION PORTABLE.

21mi8zr.jpg

Just moments ago during our 2011 E3 press conference we proudly unveiled an incredible 2011 software lineup and amazing new PS3 peripherals, and also shed new light on our highly anticipated handheld gaming device, officially named PlayStation Vita (PS Vita). “Vita,” which means “Life” in Latin, was chosen as the name for our next-generation portable entertainment system because it enables a revolutionary combination of rich gaming and social connectivity within a real world context.

By blurring the lines between interactive entertainment and reality, our goal was to design a device that offered a revolutionary combination of rich gaming capabilities and social connectivity, bringing users closer to each other and closer to their gaming experiences wherever they are. Connectivity was a key objective and our goal was to create experiences and content that would challenge the traditional notions of gaming. It was vital to make a device that was an extension of a user’s entertainment world, no matter where one would go.

Update: go to this site for more detailed information regarding PS Vita hardware and software

New: Bypass software update for your VHBL/ecfw guide (source from wololo forum)

Requirements -- ps3, pc with ocma
you don't need to use Charles proxy to do this or any proxy.
your vita doesn't have to be connected to WiFi either.

Am on ecfw 1.81 and after update 2.01 i try to get some games from my ps3 to my vita but my vita keep on saying you need to update.
So i keep trying different ways and found an easy way to connect your ps vita and ps3

i recommend to disable WiFi on vita.

1. Connect your ps vita to pc via usb.(you need to have opencma running on pc)
1a.Press on Content Manager on vita, It should connect perfectly
2. Disconnect the USB from pc and connect to ps3
2b. On your vita is should say "The PC has been disconnected" press ok
2b. ON your vita press connect to a ps3, now you should be able to connect to ps3

for those with out any exploit and still on 1.81 you can now try to download mad blocker alpha or urbanix to get an exploit.
No guarantee that the games aren't patch.

Current Exploits working in different vita firmwares (for use with VHBL/eCFW/Ark FW

- Uno exploit (up to firmware 2.02)
- Monster Hunter (up to firmware 1.80)
- Super Collapse 3 (up to firmware 1.67)
- Motorstorm Arctic Edge (Motorstorm Raging Ice) (up to firmware 1.61)
- Everybody’s Tennis (Minna No Tennis) (up to firmware 1.61)

Re: Rumour: NGP to be officially named PS Vita

Ok na sakin yung "NGP"
Parang pang Tinapay yung name na gusto nila eh.

Pero the bottom line is "Sayang Talaga ang PSP2"

Re: Rumour: NGP to be officially named PS Vita

Re: Rumour: NGP to be officially named PS Vita

@k13r

uu nga parang tinapay:lol:

@xxx123098

uu nga ,binabaan pa nila ang hardware, cgurado may negative or positive income ito
gusto nila tapatan ang 3ds sa price

Re: Rumour: NGP to be officially named PS Vita

@jdripper

Re: Rumour: NGP to be officially named PS Vita

Ok lang na NGP ang pangalan.
Kase.

Re: Rumour: NGP to be officially named PS Vita

NGP? eh mas powerful pa PSP nito....PSP pwede homebrews ahahahah...

Re: Rumour: NGP to be officially named PS Vita

An image has also emerged that appears to show the renamed VITA in what looks like a magazine spread. You can see it above

This is just a rumour for now.

Re: Rumour: NGP to be officially named PS Vita

Re: Rumour: NGP to be officially named PS Vita

PSVita it doesn't make sense :slap:

mas ok kung PSP2 na lang

Re: Rumour: NGP to be officially named PS Vita

Re: Rumour: NGP to be officially named PS Vita

PTP nalang pangalan...
means... PaTaPortable...
Ok naman siguro yan eh.
diba? :)

Re: Rumour: NGP to be officially named PS Vita

sana makahanap na rin ng paraan ang mga hardware manufacturers kung papaano gagawing fail-proof yung mga consoles/handhelds nila since mahal ito pagkarelease. kagaya nung isang video card na nakita ko, guaranteed na 10 years ang minimum life..

Re: Rumour: NGP to be officially named PS Vita

Confirmed Na, ""Playstation Vita" Na Ang Official Name Ng PSP2. :)

Re: Rumour: NGP to be officially named PS Vita

@Sir Grayback

thanks sa pag update.

baka marketing tragedy nila ito,ksi nga puro hack ang psp kaya Vita -new life sa console nila lol.

ok mga suggestion ng mga kasymbianize
holograms ,shock proof ,build it projector lol ok yan sir hehe

pataportable -parang games lang hahaha

Re: Rumour: NGP to be officially named PS Vita

Successively launching in the global market for $249 starting the end of this year, PS Vita incorporates a beautiful 5-inch multi-touch organic light emitting diode (OLED) as the front display and a unique multi-touch pad on the rear. Two analog sticks enable a wider range of game genres. Together with the front touch screen and the rear touch pad, PS Vita offers new gameplay, enabling entirely new experiences.

We know you’ve been closely following all of the news since we announced the product in January. With mobile connectivity playing a huge role in PS Vita’s interactive experience, we know many of you have been wondering what carrier will be helping us bring you closer to other users and closer to your gaming experiences on the go. Today, we proudly announced a partnership with AT&T, which powers the nation’s fastest mobile broadband network, who will serve as the exclusive service provider for PS Vita in the United States. By having both Wi-Fi and 3G/Wi-Fi models available, PS Vita will enable infinite possibilities for you to “encounter,” “connect,” “discover,” “share” and “play” with your friends wherever they are.
