Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.


An example post would be as follows:
Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

hello po,:) ano po kaya ang pinakamagandang dekstop specs for gaming...yung mura po.., budget ko po is around 14-15,000.. balak ko kasi mag tayo ng I-cafe dito sa amin?

anu po kaya ang ma e advice nyo sa akin?
:pray:
1. cpu = amd or intel > alin po ba dito good for gaming at syempre mura.
2. video card/gpu = nvidia or Ati radeon ?
3. RAM = 1gb kingston
4. psu = 500 wts.
5. mOBO = asus or asrock? alin po dito ang matibay kahit 24 hours na walang tigil.

Gamitin mo yung "Search this Thread" function mismo dito tapos ilagay mo "icafe."

80+ efficiency ay isang standard/certification sa mga power supply ngayon. Generic PSUs generally can't compete with that kind of efficiency. High efficiency means mas mababa ang electric use at lower possible bill ng kuryente. Yung 80+ White, Bronze, Silver, Gold, & Platinum ay levels ng efficiency and of course pamahalan din hehe.

Not sure where it falls pero it's obviously not an 80+ Gold PSU. It's either white or bronze. Either way, it's a good PSU because it still meets 80+ efficiency standard. Nasubukan ko na yung PSU na yan just recently on a build I setup for a close friend.

what would be much better then? FSP Raider 550w or FSP Hexa 500w? im thinking of adding more instead of going for the VP450. at least in the future(within 4-5 years) it's either RAM, GPU, or CPU nlng upgrade ko. :beat:

Antec VP450, FSP Hexa 500W, & FSP Raider 550W is more than sufficient sa build mo. Mababa lang power consumption nyan.

And for your information yung Antec VP450 is also manufacturer by FSP. Antec ang brand but yung OEM is FSP. In that sense alam mo na agad na ok ang quality ng mga yan.

FSP Raider is one of FSP's recently launched lineup. Yung 450W variant nyan based on a review is seen to have 90% efficiency which is close to gold standard kahit labeled bronze lang sya.

15k budget for video editing and gaming, intel proc. penge advice kahit walang monitor.

1280 x 768 .. normal yan skn then maxed out din pag games.. sinubukan ko ung settings for HDTV sa catalyst na 1080p panget masyadong maliit..

Eto lang po pasok sa budget eh.. pero kung meron kayong trip na i recommend na chassis basta hindi lalagpas ng 2,500 ung price ok lang.. :D
