salamat dito sa os mo sir. gamit ko na os mo ngaun. at saka na try ko na din ipenetrate sariling network ko gamit ang os nato. salamat ng marami. up up up para sa ibang di pa nakaka dl. :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

di naman po prone sa virus ang gnu/linux OS, pero pwede mo rin install yung free/ope n source ClamAV or yung mga ibang antivirus na meron sa linux tulad ng Avast, AVG, Bitdefender pero mag-reregister ka pa dun

Tama po si sir Gian20 na hindi kailangan ng antivirus ang Linux. And since ang Eskwela OS is based on Ubuntu, which is a Linux Distribution, then hindi po siya kailangan ng Antivirus. And since Long Term Support po ang base ng Eskwela hanggang 2019 may security patches po kayong marereceive.

But mayroon po available na antivirus sa linux. ClamAV and Avast antivirus has linux versions of their antivirus products. But hindi na po ako nag-iinstall ng antivirus sa computer ko. :D

ganda nito sir, naka try na ako ng lynux noon maganda siya talaga siya... sure mas maganda ito, just a query lang ts, pwede bang mag install ng wineHQ? para mag run lahat ng Windows bases Apps ko?

Try nyo po ang Eskwela OS. :)
It is a lightweight distro based on Ubuntu

Eskwela OS v1 has WineHQ and PlayOnLinux.
I tried to install Microsoft Office 2013 in Eskwela OS v1
and it is working.

But I have not tested a lot of Windows Applications since there are Linux Equivalents na mn. :)

You can install Wine in Eskwela OS v2
Type in the terminal:
sudo apt-get install wine

Sana po talaga matry nyo ang Eskwela OS. :)

Salamat po sa reply nyo, last question po yung mga security patches automatic na download o manual? grabe itong Eskwela Os sarap gamitin!! Nag install ako ng skype at mozilla solve na..

May software updater po yan, if may mahanap na mga updates sa software, patches, etc. you will be prompted. All you have to do is click the button to download the updates.
It works like the Window updates. :)

Or if you want to force updates or manually update your system, just do this:
Open the terminal then type:
sudo apt-get update

And type:
sudo apt-get upgrade
if you want to upgrade your software to the latest version from its repository. :)

eto nakita ko solution ^_^
Press enter to get back into the grub menu, press "e" on the default boot entry (usually the first in the list), select the line root (hd0) and press "e" again. Change root (hd0) to the desired value (e.g. if the root device is /dev/sda1, the location would be hd0,0) and press enter. Check the changes on the screen for correctness and press "b" to boot.

Once the system is online, please adjust /boot/grub/menu.lst and change all root (hd0) entries to their correct values.

parang grub1 po na problema yan. :)
sa Eskwela OS sir grub2 kasi ang gamit.
So hindi mag-error ng ganyan.

Tama po sabi ni sir scandinavian_armor.
Change mo lang sa hd(0,0) if you installed it on your first hard drive on the first partition. If hindi po sa first partition, siguro something like hd(0,1) which means first hard drive but second partition.

Ano po ininstall niyo? CentOS or Arch? :)

ang error po na yan ay present sa grub version 1. :)
sa version 2 kasi mas complicated ang grub.cfg
hindi ko nga madecipher ang boot niya kasi may UUID something pa. :D

ginagawa ko na lang ay mag-reinstall ng grub lalo na if ng-install ako ng windows after sa Eskwela or Ubuntu. :)

sir try niyo po do something else sa installer. Then gawa ka ng swap partition ang isang partition with ext4 format.

sure po na hindi yan magiging stock sa installer. :)

feedback po kayo if napagana or hindi. salamat po. :thumbsup:

pwde po ba i run ang league of legends dyan ung sa garena, gusto ko kasi install yan para matuto din ng linux
