hhmm.. sige boss ganito plug mo yung USB Wireless Adpter mo tapos open mo yung Terminal tapos type mo lsusb then paste mo yung result, by the way anong klaseng encryption ba ang wireless connection mo?.. WEP ba o WPA?

share ko lang po ah, nabasa ko kasi yung bayanihan linux. one of the authors ng binabasa ko na book "Beginning Ubuntu Linux" is Jaime Sicam...

"Jaime takes pride in being part of DOST-ASTI (Advanced Science
and Technology Institute) on Bayanihan Linux. "

- Beginning Ubuntu Linux, the award–winning and best–selling Ubuntu book for beginners...........

galing!

Re: Tutorials: Ubuntu (a Debian/GNU Linux Distribution)

cedar if your Wireless USB Adapter is detecting Wireless Signal but very weak compared when using it on Windows.. you may try installing WICD.. it can be installed through Synaptic Package Manager! ;)

Boss hindi detected ng Ubuntu yung Wireless USB Adapter mo!.. at yung mga "characters" na nakikita mo is not exactly your Wireless Signal around you but these are errors (correct me if i'm wrong) since you manual added your SSID, when you set-up your router, did you set-up your SSID as hidden that is why you need manually key-in the SSID?, do you do same process when your using it on Windows?.. kasi if the wireless USB adapter is detected and your SSID is detectable it should show up automatically on your "Wireless Networks" if it is the first time that an SSID or a Wireless Network is available for you to connect Ubuntu will tell you that there is a "Wireless Network Available".. since it is showing that your adapter is not detected on Ubuntu by default so you may try installing the USB wireless adapter driver using NDISWRAPPER check out this link USING WINDOWS WIRELESS DRIVERS or you could also check this link...
