Hi Friend,

Ngayon ko lang narinig ang Tap Win32, so nag-Google ako sandali. Apparently eto rin ang OpenVPN, tama? Eto kasi ang nakita ko: http://openvpn.net/index.php/open-source/downloads.html

OpenVPN -- Packages and ports


OpenVPN is available in repositories of most open source operating systems such as Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora and FreeBSD. Some of them may have several versions available, e.g. one for latest beta branch, one for latest development code and one for stable releases. If possible, use the version of OpenVPN available in your OS repositories - this helps in keep your OpenVPN installation up-to-date.

The OpenVPN project also packages latest OpenVPN releases for some open source operating systems. Take a look here to see if these packages are available for your OS.

So I checked the Official OS Repositories of Ubuntu (a.k.a. Ubuntu Software Center), and mukhang andun naman siya, so meaning puwede sa Ubuntu. Ubuntu 10.10 ang screenshot ko sa baba:

sir pwede na ba kahit hindi na install ang libusb para sa usb switch ayaw kasi mainstall palaging nageerror ang OS ko ubuntu 10.04...

nabasa ko rin yung mga steps na binigay mo para mapagana yung modem(*globe tattoo broadband USB huawei E1552 openline)...

i also tried using the installer pero wala dun yung usb switch na installer via ubuntu software update installer na nakaindicate din sa mga instructions ninyo

help po sa problema ko, thanks in advance...

Hm, strange lang kasi may tinulungan ako dito sa thread natin where he used the Installer CD, and na-install niya. Ubuntu 10.04 din siya. Try nating i-troubleshoot.

Offline setup of USB Modem via CD Installer

Tip #1: Nung ni-click mo yung "CD" sa Software Sources and then you clicked on "Close" dapat na-prompt ka ng Ubuntu na i-"Reload" ang software sources mo. Kapag hindi nangyari ito, that means hindi maa-add ang mga files na nasa CD so hindi mo makikita sa Ubuntu Software Center. Ganito ang dapat mong makita:

Kung hindi lumabas, you may "reload" your software sources via the terminal by typing

sudo apt-get update

Pareho din ang effect nun sa screenshot sa taas, ang difference lang is sa Terminal mo ginawa.

Tip #2: Sa baba ng screenshot ng tutorial na yun (here's the link by the way: http://www.symbianize.com/showpost.php?p=3940152&postcount=1001), may instructions din on how to install it via the Terminal. Na-try mo na ba yun? Eto ulit yung instructions:

b.2. Copy-paste these commands (one at a time) into Terminal:

sudo apt-cdrom add
sudo apt-get update

you have atleast 3 options i think.

may GUI kasi na magpapaprompt ang kung anong klaseng installation ang gusto mo..

1. along side windows

2. other partition

3. whole partition is buntu only (which means format mo pa(fresh format kumbaga))


try mo lang install, pwede na mang magcancel eh...

no need na po ng specs ang magiging problema sa ganyan babagal ang windows OS na base OS para magrun ang ubuntu mas maganda pag separate OS nalang

Hi Friends,

I'm back. Grabe nakakapagod, but it was great celebrating my son's first birthday. May mga kailangan nga lang akong habulin sa work...it's going to be a busy month for me, so baka hindi ako masyadong makapag-post or makapag-reply sa inyo (pasensya na). Yung sa WEP and WPA/WPA2 cracking, I promise tatapusin ko yung last part. Anyway yung mga naunang part ang mas mahalaga kasi yung last part, mismong cracking na lang yun using aircrack-ng. Isang command lang naman ang kailangan dun, and it can be done offline anyway.

Thanks...baka ito na ang last weekend na kaya ko pang tumambay nang mahabang oras. Mag-online pa rin ako siyempre, pero pasilip-silip lang siguro muna habang busy muna sa work. Kaya ko pa ring mag-reply, pero siguro when it comes to tutorials baka hindi kasing-active kasi kumakain din ng oras ang pag-gawa ng tutorial na maayos at maiintindihan ng newbies (as in yung may step-by-step, pictures, links, etc.). I'm sure na mananatili pa rin ang thread na buhay dahil sa mga experts and enthusiasts kagaya ninyong lahat. Remember guys, hindi naman ako programmer or may formal I.T. knowledge...enthusiast/hobbyist lang ako ng mga gadgets, computers, etc. Mas marami kayong alam compared sa akin, promise. (ehem...parang namamaalam ang tono ko, lolz...pero hindi, nagpapaalam lang na hindi ko kayang mag-online nang matagal). Just give me three weeks siguro na hindi kasing-active, dami lang talagang ginagawa recently sa work eh. Salamat mga friends.

Kumbaga parang "post-installation" checklist. I have my own checklist too, pero nasa Notepad and personal checklist ko siya para sa mga settings and applications na gusto kong gamitin. Pero this one is worth sharing kasi medyo generic so nag-a-apply siya sa mas wider na audience.
