mint 15 cinamon, na download ko lang sa First page, bago lang kasi tlga ako sa OS na ito...

linuxmint 15 cinnamon,mate,xfce,kde is different from LMDE (LinuxMInt Debian Edition)

Linuxmint 15 is based on ubuntu
LMDE(LinuxMint Debian Edition) is a semi-rolling distribution based on Debian Testing

they look identical but they feel and behave differently,
LMDE is bit difficult to use because it lacks of software center, cant add PPA(personal package archive).
Software center and PPA offers much convenience for beginners

Show them the power of Linuxmint(ubuntu). and guide them through out their journey to GNU/LINUX

it hits the recommended system requirements
u can switch from cinnamon to xfce if u want more lightweight desktop environment.

Sir i don't know where to start..

gusto ko sana install sya sa extra HDD ko, but i don't know how?..

i've tried bootable usb (2gb) but it's hang in logo..

naka cinnamon ako .. gusto ko sana ung KDE...may paraan ba para mainstol ko ung kDE 4.XX sa Cinnamon???


pano ko ba icustomize to ung mga transition para astig ung upen and close windows hahaha.. NOob... first LInux ko

i assume d bootable usb u just created is corrupted. but im not so sure
pick d 32-bit architector.
use "unetbootin"

Sir ang ginawa ko po ay kinopya ko muna sa desktop tapos using "unetbootin" install to sa C:/ instead sa USB tapos ng process ni reboot ko, tapos kada boot pili nalang ako ng OS Win or Linux, ok naman sya gumagawa naman at ang XP ko ok naman gumagana parin...

Ok lang po ba itong ginawa ko?, bale d ako ng partition?..nag halo sila sa Drive C:/ ko..

medyo di ko ma gets ginawa mo sir. 2 OSs are mixed up?

TS, ask ko lang alin ba sa linux mint releases and ready to use na? Yung tipong parang out of the box ready to use? Yung parang Pinguy OS, na kumpleto na ng apps saka software para sa mga beginners, as much as possible po kasi ayaw kong gumamit ng internet pagkatapos mag-install,.. Salamat TS!

sir may problema ako.. nag dual boot kasi ako.. hmmm Windows 7 at Linux mint 15.. ibang partition po ung Linux mint.. pero... pinalitan ko po ng windows 7 ng windows 8 kaya nagreformat po ako ng drive c: den dun sa pipili ng load ng kung anung os andun pa din ung LINUX wid win 8... nereformat ko nmn na po ung partition ng Linux.... hmm pano ko po tatanggaling ung Linux sa BOOt menu?? kasi gusto ko win 8 na lang... kasi di ko na rin m aload ung Linux .. salamat po sa tutulong...

TOOLS NEEDED:

EasyBCD (download http://neosmart.net/Download/Register/1)
Just write something in those boxes, and you’ll be able to download it free.

1. Your at the GRUB menu, Boot into Windows 7
2. Having the EasyBCD, now Open EasyBCD
3. Go to BCD Deployment
4. By default, you will have the Install the Windows Vista/7 bootloader to the MBR, button checked. If you don’t have that checked, check it now! (before it’s too late…)
5. Click on Write MBR (that red button). This removed the GRUB menu, and made Windows 7 load automatically.
6. Go now to Edit boot menu.
7. Highlight Windows 7
8. Check Skip the boot menu.
9. And then Save settings.
10. Close EasyBCD.
11. Right – Click on My Computer
12. Click on Manage, and the partitions will pop-up now, you’re just going to remove the Linux partition.
13. Right-Click on the Linux volume and click Delete volume.
14. Now Right-click on the deleted volume and click Delete partition. Now you lost everything on Linux, if you didn’t back-up your files, their gone forever.
15.Now right click on your Drive that’s near the empty partition, and click on Extend volume. It will automatically set the size of extension, just click next and your done.
