help po mga kuya... gusto ko sanang dual boot itong linux saka win7. may partition na po ang harddisk ko (drive c and d) may mga laman na. pano po gagawin mga kuya? gagawa pa ba ako ng isang partition para sa linuxmint?

since na pareho na my laman ung pattition mo TS..try mo i shrink ung drive C mo...then hayaan mo lang na maging unallocated xa.then search mo ung tutorial sa ubuntu yung partition scheme para sa ubuntu....so means gagawa ka muna ng installer ng any distro that you like...then i rurun mo xa then dun mo gagawin ung partition scheme dun sa unallocated area na na shrink mo sa drive C mo....try mo ung elementary os luna ..maganda at yan ang gamit ko now

Windows user here at solid Android fan.. Balak ko mag try ng Linux sa humble kong Acer netbook having:

-Dual core C-60 APU 1.33GHz
-AMD Radeon 6290 HD
-2GB RAM, pero 1.7 lang usable in Windows 7

Na orient na kc sa pagiging open-source ng Android so I'll move on to Linux na
Recommend to me guys, balak ko yung Qiana XFCE kasi lightweight daw? TIA!

Guys balak ko sanang mag dual-boot ng Linux Mint 17 Qiana Cinnamon together with my Windows 7 pero natakot ako dito:

Known issues
In the installer, "Replace OS with Linux Mint" means erase the entire drive
If another operating system is present on the disk, the second option suggested by the installer is to "replace the OS with Linux Mint".

This option doesn't just wipe the partition used by the mentioned OS, but the entire drive and all its partitions.

Naka shrink drive C ko, ibig sabihin ba ng issue na yan ay buburahin nya lahat ng partition pati yung na shrink ko?

hi there! its my 4th post. linuxmint can be installed alongside with windows and other linuxes. no need to reconfigure your partitions manually cause linuxmint will automatically do the partitioning. install mo lang sa drive c and make sure to click the "install linuxmint alongside with windows. kasi kung mag manual partition ka... kailangan mo mag allocate para sa swap partition. and since you are using win7 that has boot partition you only had 1 primary partition left to allocate. unless if you know how to use gparted to make extended partition and make a logical/swap partitions inside it. just let linuxmint configure it for you (to avoid data disaster ouch!). been using unofficial linuxmint 12 lxde maya on my other laptop for a while and still working flawlessly till now.

kasi Mate ang na install ko.. pero dq gaano nagustuhan ang UI nya pag dating sa mga running programs.. Like Steam at Netbeans.

hmm nainstall ko ung Qiana Cinnamon pero medyo di masyado snappy sa netbook ko, ano kaya mas mabilis? Yung smooth talaga UI at snappy

gamit ko ngayon yung xfce mabilis at stable taz install ako ng compiz pampapogi hehe. gnda nito pag nailagay mo yung compiz lumilindol desktop mo hehe

Kung drivers mismo meron na, pero anong klaseng drivers ang balak mong iinstall?

Subukan mo muna sa live USB (search mo na lang dito just in case di mo pa alam) para malaman mo, kung gagana ba sa hardware mo 'tong distro.

Tanong ko lang, nainstall ko sya at na i run sa USB. Ngayon gusto ko iinstall kasabay ng aking OS na windows 8. Pagpasok ko dun sa desktop environment nya, tinry ko iinstall pero nag error sya.

Saka nga pala, pag open ko bakit ganun hindi sya makadetect ng wireless networks kaya hindi makakonek sa internet.

Ok, na install ko na sya. Ang problema paano mag dual boot. Kailangan pa galawin yung BIOS para piliin kung ano ang gagamiting OS. Pasagot naman po sa may alam. tnx

gamit ko ACER travelmate B115 -M ayaw mag shutdown then if e long push mo naman para mag shutdown ayaw namang mag boot naka install po sya sa legacy kasi ayaw po nya ng UEFI any suggestion po TIA
