Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:
Code:
budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

Processor:
Motherboard:
RAM:

Video Card:

Hard Drive:
Optical Drive:

Power Supply:
Casing:

monitor:

Accessories:

please indicate (at least)the size of the hard disk desired, and also what you need/have/prefer.

Thanks.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

An example post would be as follows:
Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Thank you.

wow! 2 months lang pala, bawi mo na yung puhunan mo sa gpu mo. so after 3 months puro profit na. very attractive talaga pag ganyan. no wonder even at php20k ang rx580, binibili.

wow kaya pala madaming nahihilig sa mining ang bilis ng ROI.

i just research those stuff kaya alam ko kung anong socket at anong chipsets ang magkatugma
safe na ngayon mag-OC ng mga GPU at CPU. hindi na tulad ng dati at napakaraming safety precautions to avoid toasting them. meron na silang thermal throttling or even shutdown kung sakaling maabot nga yung thermal threshold. meron na rin mga windows based software to help you overclock your system without entering the bios/uefi. meron din silang pre-set overclocking modes that you can just select and leave. besides, i would not recommend running your system in full throttle all the time naman. yung mga panahon lang na nagrerender ka for example. you can maybe cut your render/encoding time by 10-20%.
tapos pahabol sa SSD. better look instead for NVME m.2 SSD, mas mabilis (around 3x or more) kesa sa typical SATA SSD.
RAM... baka pwedeng 32gb or 16gb lang muna... 64gb is too much in my opinion (mid 2017)... :noidea: you'll barely exceed 16gb of usage on daily tasks eh :noidea: tapos napakamahal pa ng mga RAM ngayon.
about ryzen, you only need to replace the processor with a Ryzen 1700 (best bang for the buck 8c/16t CPU) and a B350 or X370 mobo. the rest of the parts above will work the same way... except for the CPU cooler... you just need to make sure na may AM4 mounting bracket yung bibilhin mo.

ah sige po magresearch ako kung pano mag-overclock. medyo namamahalan nga po ako dun sa RAM.
siguro okey kung ganitong build ang sundin ko? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZajTWCWvD8

Sir, alin po mas maganda dyan r5 or yung i5

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose a Computer

Depende sa temp ng GPU mo kung napakainit nyan liliit lifespan nyan. Suggestion ko lng pra bumaba power consumption at gpu tempmo, i down clock at undervolt mo ung gpu core mo.at ioverclock mo nmn ung gpu memory para tumaas ung earn rate mo. Gpu memory kc ang mahalaga sa pagmimina

1. i down clock at undervolt mo ung gpu core mo
2. ioverclock mo nmn ung gpu memory

san po ba dyan mga master iaadjust yang dalawa, pang mina po sya, thanks po sa mga sasagot.

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose a Computer

Sir, alin po mas maganda dyan r5 or yung i5

personally, with that budget constraint, I would go with a R5 1600 and a 1050ti. 1600 has 6c/12t. 3x more than an i5. software/games can ba updated/optimized for more cores, but the lack of physical cores has no solution :noidea:
then, upgrade the GPU later... kasi sa ngayon, overpriced mga GPU. yung 1060 3gb, nasa 9k na lang yan nung May and earlier eh :slap:

with the build above, basically same case. lalamang ang i5 on most benchmarks with regards sa fps. hell, you can go for a g4560 and a 1060 6gb and the fps wouldn't be that far off from each other.

its just not good for new pc builders right now :sigh:
sobrang mahal ng RAM and GPU :weep:
