[ADVISE] Help in Assembling/Building/Choosing/Upgrading Your Computer

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.


The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

tingin ka sa TPC may nagbebenta dun ng bulk gaming computers.. pang computer shop talaga ang package!

thanks ulit po mga masters! gusto ko din po pala palit ng casing kse maliit ung casing ko and hindi ko mp2litan hsf ko pag hindi po ako nagpalit.. suggestions po sana.... ung mura pero magandang casing! thanks in advance

anu hsf ba lalagay mo? check mo din mga cooler master brand kaso range na sa 4k pataas. meron naman din mga cooler master yung mga elite nila nasa 1k+ lang pero di ko sure kung kasya mga matataas at malalaking aftermarket hsf dun.

Avoid DDR and DDR2 variant... DDR3 and up are the good ones...
Dont be fooled by 1GB+++ memory sizes...
In terms of choosing Video card you may want to look at the size of your monitor...
256MB for 14,15,16,17 inches monitors..
512MB for 17,18,19,20 inches monitors..
1G and up for 20 and UP monitors...

sir pano po 17 inch ung monitor di ba base sa nasa taas okey na ung 512mb pano po kung ang specs requirement ng game eh 1 gig?

anung mga games ba nilalaro mo sir, yung 9600gt ko na 512mb dati gamit ko sa 19' yun pero kaya pa mga games kahit crysis at gta 4. still meron pa rin naman mga da best na 512mb ngayun, "pero" so far sa mga na brobrowse ko halos lahat 768mb na to 1gb/2gb na nag rarange mga graphic cards, ilan ilan nalang ang 512mb like 9xxxgt series, gts2xx series, radeon 4xxx series.

ang ibig sabihin jan sa dont be fooled with 1gb memory lalo na kun 15-17' lang kayo maglalaro dahil di naman makikita yung usage ng 1gb kun di rin lang 20 up at mga multi monitor yung gamit. pixel by pixel kasi ang function ng graphics card kaya nag rerely yung taas ng memory sa size ng mga lcd natin. baka yang 1gb requirements na sinasabi mo is yan yung Recomended for that game "BUT" we can stick pa rin sa MINIMUM requirement dahil ang minimum requirement sa isang game ay STILL PLAYABLE pa rin naman, abot kapa sa 50 to 60 fps nyan sir.

kaka review lang ng brand sir, di lang siguro ganun kakilala yung brand pero base sa review dito sa tomshardware e ayus naman

sir DDR5 na VC na kunin mo para isang bagsakan na talaga, sir suggestion lang kung kaya mo pa naman stretch ang budget mo why not go for brand new 17' lcd marami nang disadvantage ang CRT ngayun compare sa lcd lalo na 2nd hand pa pala ang gusto mong CRT. if im not wrong sa pcgilmore yang quotation na yan di ba po. merong mga shop sa sm fairview sa may malapit sa sinehan. pchub... etc...
