Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:
Code:
budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

Processor:
Motherboard:
RAM:

Video Card:

Hard Drive:
Optical Drive:

Power Supply:
Casing:

monitor:

Accessories:

please indicate (at least)the size of the hard disk desired, and also what you need/have/prefer.

Thanks.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

An example post would be as follows:
Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Thank you.

ang galing!
an bilis. . .

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose/upgrade your Computer

anu po diffrence ng VC ng emaxx amd880 at inno3d gf8500gt?

anu po mas maganda?

gusto ko po kc malaro yung iba pang latest and future games. . .

maraming salamat sa tulong!
:thanks:

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose/upgrade your Computer

:noidea:

:noidea: :thanks:

you should consider these parts..

Processor.. Intel/AMD. (Intel and AMD have different each sockets even on their processor families.)

For example, If you buy core2duo, LOOK on the socket. The socket of Core2duo is LGA775 which means compatible with LGA 775 mainboards or P5/p4 mainboards with DDR2 compatibility (but some P5 boards already have dd3 compatibles but not on dual channel). Another one is Core i Series of Intel. Core i5 760 is a LGA 1156 socket which means compatible with LGA 1156 socket mainboards or P55/h55 mainboards with DDR3 RAMS compatibility. Another one is Core i7 9xx series and Intel Sandy bridge processors which is the newest processor, 2nd generation processor of intel. Each of them has a socket of LGA 1366 and 1155 respectively. You should buy boards that is compatible on their sockets. Usually the mainboards for core i7s are X58 mainboards while on sandybridge (as for my knowledge) is still unknown.

Likewise in AMD, Let us say AMD ATHLON II x2 250 is AM3 socket. You should look for AM3 socket boards such as 780G chipset. All AMD is already AM3 sockets so you won't have much problem on selecting mainboards for AMD processor unless you buy the oldest AMD processor (AM2+/AM2 socket processor like AMD Athlon x2 5000+ but don't worry about it.)

All of the mainboards now has a compatibility of ANY videocards as long as there is PCI-E x16 lane. Most mainboards has PCI-E x16 lanes. Also no problems when buying on the other parts like Hard disk, power supply, etc as long as there is a SATA connection. As for the RAM, it should be compatible on the mainboard you bought. Just for the case if you bought p55 mainboard for your Intel Core2duo, buy any DDR2 RAMS. Any rams will do but I suggest you buy a branded RAMS for your computer's stability.

motherboard slots.

motherboard for processor..
socket LGA775 - for Intel pentium, dualcore, core2duo, core2quad
socket LGA1156 - for Intel i5/i3
socket LGA1366 - for Intel i7

AMD

socket AM3/AM2/AM2+ - most of AMD processors ay compatible dito kaya mas matipid sa budget ang AMD dahil kahit mag palit palit or mag pa upgrade ka ng Processor ay compatible pa rin sa motheboard di mo na need mag palit nito.

motherboard for RAM..
SODIMM
DDR 400
DDR2
DDR3 - eto ang latest ngayun

motheboard for video card..
PCI
AGP
PCI Express - eto latest ngayun

motherboard for HDD..
IDE

motherboard for PSU..
-any psu as long as ma support ng PSU yung 24pin power at yung 12v 8pin or 4pin power ng isang motherboard.

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose/upgrade your Computer

ex:

*m0therboard (pipili ako sa intel)

*procces0r (pipili din ako sa intel)

*ram (pipili din ako sa intel)

*video card (pipili din sa intel)

*hard drive (intel din)

*at ung ibang parts (intel din)
