Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:
Code:
budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

Processor:
Motherboard:
RAM:

Video Card:

Hard Drive:
Optical Drive:

Power Supply:
Casing:

monitor:

Accessories:

please indicate (at least)the size of the hard disk desired, and also what you need/have/prefer.

Thanks.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

An example post would be as follows:
Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Thank you.

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose/upgrade your Computer

Procie: intel q8200 P8650, mobo: intel DG 31PR P2550, mem: geil 2g pc800 P1200, vc: palit 9500gt 1gb / 128bit P2750.

ok na po yung processor at memory, at vc. .unless may makita kang Intel Q6600 <still the best on 65nm technology. ./no1

.better get Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, or Emaxx. .

tska mas ok po if u get a branded psu for those components, pina importante ung psu mo, it holds all components eh. .get hec winpower, coolermaster, antec, corsair, etc. .bstah hindi generic. ./no1

pinakamura na maganda is hec winpower 500W, nsa 2.5k ata yun^_^

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose/upgrade your Computer

wow thanks ah gusto ko sanang mobo is asus anu po ba compatible nalimutan ko kasi ilagay kagabi tsaka bat po mas ok yung Q6600 sa Q8200? thanks in advance

Mas mataas kasi ang Clockspeed at L2 cache ng Q6600 compared to Q8200, pero mas mataas FSB ng Q8200 (1333 MHz). Maganda sa Q8200, mas matipid sa kuryente kasi 45nm ang manufacturing process nito compared to 65nm processors w/c are power-hungry. :)

One more thing, since Quad ang CPU mo, mas maganda kung Team Elite/Team Xtreem ang RAM mo and since mukhang may budget ka naman, I suggest na 4GB na bilhin mo. :D

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose/upgrade your Computer

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose/upgrade your Computer

.kya pra sa akin, its either 2-3Gb lng RAM for 32-bit OS. .

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose/upgrade your Computer

mga paps mangungulit ulit..

bakit nga pla pangit ung ECS na mobo?:noidea:

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose/upgrade your Computer

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose/upgrade your Computer

^ hnd lng sa capacitors, bsta overall, hnd ganun kaganda quality, mas matibay ang Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, Emaxx, Foxconn. .^_^

SOLID CAPACITOR

article_02_allsolid_004.jpg

Electrolytic Capacitor

Solid capacitors and electrolytic capacitors both store electricity and discharge it when needed. The difference, however, is that solid capacitors contain a solid organic polymer, while electrolytic capacitors use a common liquid electrolyte, hence, the terms solid capacitor versus electrolytic capacitors. So how does this actually effect the capacitor's performance?

Six times longer lifespan
In terms of lifespan, solid capacitors last longer than electrolytic capacitors, especially at lower working temperatures. As the table below shows, as the temperature decreases, the lifespan for solid capacitors increases. At 65◦C, the average lifespan for a solid capacitor is more than six times greater than electrolytic capacitors. In actual years, the solid capacitor will last approximately 23 years, while the electrolytic capacitor dies after only three years. Granted, most people will replace their motherboard long before 23 years, but clearly, solid capacitors have a lifetime advantage over electrolytic capacitors.

Ferrite Core Choke

• Reduced core energy loss. • Lower EMI.
• Resists rust better than standard iron core chokes.
For the chokes, GIGABYTE uses more expensive ferrite choke. Ferrite chokes are comprised of a compound of iron-oxide and other metal elements whose properties hold energy much longer than common iron-core chokes at high frequency. This means there is reduced core energy loss and lower EMI for extended system reliability. In addition, ferrite core chokes resist rust better than iron-core chokes. For users in humid climates, especially around coastal areas where there is a high concentration of salt in the air, ferrite core chokes are able to resist rust better than iron chokes.

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose/upgrade your Computer

gud am! my tanong ulit ako..

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose/upgrade your Computer

gusto ko sna isugest pra sau ung zalman cnps9500/cnps9700/cnps9900.

.or two. .
