[ADVISE] Help in Assembling/Building/Choosing/Upgrading Your Computer

Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.


The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

ano ba sir ang magandang cpu cooler? yun mura lang. kasi may nabasa ako na pangit daw and stock cooler ng AMD.

panget talaga, maingay. Pero kung di ka naman mag overclock sapat na ung stock cooler. About sa aftermarket cpu cooler, yan din ang inaalam ko sa ngayon, pero im looking at noctua nh-d14 medyo bulky sya. matanong lang, gaming mo ba gagamitin yan? bukod sa gaming saan mo pa gagamitin? OO sapat na 550W basta true rated.

Kung lower resolution ang laro mo, okay ang ganyang setup, pero kung may plano ka mag 1080p (22" monitor up) i suggest mag 6300 then taasan mo pa graphics card mo, 7870 up.

bumili kc ako ng "2gig Palit gtx630" ang nakalagay sa box 128b pero nung install q driver 32bit lang sya..winXP gamit q OS

pacheck naman kung 32bit lang talga sya salamat po

32bit ang installer kasi nadetect ng installer mo yung OS mo na 32bit malamang. Walang kinalaman ung 128bit ng graphics mo dun sa installer. Sa madaling salita, ung OS mo ung 32bit. Ung graphics card 128bit parin, check mo sa nvidia control panel.

Gusto ko sana ng Intel i5 3570K, pero mas mura pa yun AMD FX 8350 (o halos magka presyo lang cguro). baka kasi mga games next year mag require na ng 6 processor up (future wise). Mag upgrade na lang ng Video Card (sobrang mahal naman kasi ng mga VC, mahal pa sa CPU). kulang pa nga yun budget ehh.. nag iintay pa ng padala. Iniisip ko na AMD FX-8320 na lang at para mas mataas na Video Card ang makuha.

BTW, yung mga "Liquid Cooler" maingay nga ba? at may vibration?

I wouldn't worry about cpu kung gaming lang ang gagawin ko as long as hindi ma-bottleneck ang graphics card. 6300 is enough sa needs mo, actually i can settle for 4300 or i3 and then invest on graphics card plus 1080p monitor, para pag out ng bagong AMD/Intel AM3+/1150 parin daw ang socket nya, dun nalang ako mag upgrade ng cpu(if ever needed). Pero in my experience, never ko needed ang intel dahil di naman ako renderer ng mabibigat na multimedia(3D, Videos, etc). Need ko lang ng extra cores for my virtualization and that does not need strong cores.
But don't forget about PSU in my opinion this should be the first thing to consider. And ofcourse, the budget.


about naman sa cooler, bro sa totoo lang wala pa ko alam sa mga cooler, pero may mga nagsasabi maingay daw ang radiator, meron naman nagsasabi depende sa setup. I personally have no interest on liquid cooling, mas trip ko ung air cool, that's why i told you i'am looking forward to buy Noctua NH-D14, but i need to buy much/slightly bigger chassis

good as long as you don't buy 1 stick RAM, not that it is bad, but dual RAM is better. Buy 2x2GB.

Budget: 20k-30k max.

Usage: Internet streaming/downloads, Gaming, Video and Photo Editing and Multimedia storage, and lastly some programming like java and the like.

Games: The Sims, DoTA II, GTA IV, NBA 2K13 etc.
