[ADVISE] Help in Assembling/Building/Choosing/Upgrading Your Computer

Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.


The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Mga sir pahelp naman po sa pagbuild ng pc...
15k-20k po ang budget ko kasama na monitor kahit 16 inches lang, ang main purpose po eh for 3d rendering at autocad at konting gaming na rin...salamat po sa mga tutulong...

siguro pwede ang 12k for now kung generic PSU ang gamit at built in shared graphics muna.wag mo lang expect na highest graphics ang malalaro mo sir,

may tanong ako

may bago ako natrade na 320gb WD my passport,normal naman siguro na umiinit agad ito?atsaka medyo tumutunog ang gilid pag napress mo yung parang loose siya?pero apart from that wala naman problem sa read write capabilities niya

sir pwedeng magtanong?mag-uupgrade kasi ako ng procie. kaya lang hindi tugma yung bios version. example:

yung bios version ko is 0305
yung since BIOS ng ipapalit kong procie ay 0401

tatakbo kaya yun kung hindi ako nag-update ng BIOS?

kasi nakakatakot magflash. pag nagfailed dead na mobo ko. aguy.

Anong purpose po... Kung makaka-antay ka pa ng month or 2, lalabas na kasi Llano and Zambezi AMD processors with mobo's na AMD HD6 onboards....

Mas prefer ko na lang ang AMD Athlon Processors regards sa LGA775 mobo's since end of line na kasi ang Intel C2D and Pentium Dual Cores... Also ang difference lang ng C2D and Pentium Dual Core is Processor architecture, Cache and FSB capabilities...

Wait mo na lang ang suggestions nila for Intel rig, since ni-rerecommend ko talaga sa ganyang budget is AMD...

gus2 ko po sana lagyan ng aftermarket na cooler(for overclocking) then upgrade na mobo(for unlocking). Ok na ba ung PSU ko? pls help me next week na ko pupunta ng gilmore.
