Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.


The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.


An example post would be as follows:
Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Mga distro walang direct contact sa end users, only dealers.

Good video card kung di ka gaano gamer otherwise mahina yan kung performance hanap mo :)

So kahit alam ko yung exact contact no. at address, hindi ako makaka kuha ng item sa kanila? talagang sa dealer lang ako makakakuha?

mga masters, balak ko kasi mag upgrade ng desktop CPU ideal for Home and Office use lang naman
since si mama ang laging gumagamit nun pang office related work. kame sa laptop kame gumagamit..

Anong setup po ba ang maganda?

ang budget po is below 10k.

ang current specs kasi nitong desktop na gamit ko is intel P4, 570mb ram, 80gb hdd, nvidia geforce fx5500, generic mobo(no brand) socket478.

ano po ma recommend nyo?

10k for unit/rig lang tama ba? Saan nyo plano bumili? Pede pa ba ma salvage yung HDD, ODD, at case from the previous unit?

Pa request naman po kung anong magandang specs for hard gaming ung mala 24/7 na may 2tb hdd mostly games, emulators audio & video editing tsaka possible ba ung makapanood ng local channels? ung parang may antenna? tsala po siguro po mga 20-40k ung budget :thanks::D

Kahit ano. It boils down to preference and what brand you can afford.

If priority mo ang gaming then you'd want to spend less on storage dahil pede naman yan at a later time once you need additional space. Saan mo plano bumili? Unit/rig lang ba?

Alamin mo muna paps mas madali mag bigay ng recommendation pag ganun.



Di kaya kung ipipilit mo yung i3 sa budget mo paps, masacrifice mo yung quality ng PSU. Pag ganyan ang pwede mo lang tipirin ay yung casing kahit generic lang muna.



HD 5570 / GT 430 any brand



Saan ka bibili? Sa AMD na build di kaya nung budget unless yung Llano w/ builtin graphics or Intel build.



Feeling ko pumapalya na dyan yung HDD mo. Di mo na kailangan dagdagan RAM nyan.



Panget lang siguro yung nakuha mong HD 6670 or baka magkaibang drivers gamit mo sa kanila. Mas malakas kasi talaga ang HD 6670 na DDR5 kesa sa HD 5670 na DDR3.

ung hdd po kasi para sa movies and albums mahilig po ako manuod and makinig bali multitasker po tsaka any recommendation kung saan makakabili ng affordable parts?

Para sa budget at use mo pede na tong build. Dagdag ka talaga malaki kung sasalpakan pa ng video card.

below 10k for desktop cpu lang po.

sa Gilmore kung mas mura dun mga parts.
di ko lang alam kung pwede pa ma salvage yung mga parts galing sa P4 tas socket 478. pwede pa ba? yung previous case na rin ang gagamitin.
