[ADVISE] Help in Assembling/Building/Choosing/Upgrading Your Computer

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.


The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

Boss, ang maccriticize ko lang sa build na yan eh ung Mobo at ung PSU.

Sayang kasi, ganda ng procie at imba ang video card tapos H77 lang ang mobo. Mas maganda kung mag Z77 ka boss, atleast pwede ka mag OC if ever.

Sa PSU naman, im not a fan of Aerocool PSU's Tier 5 lang kasi ang Aerocool PSU sa PSU Hierarchy. (Tier 1 being the highest, Tier 5 being the lowest) Oo nga't branded xa, pero hindi kasi certified ang Aerocool Strike-X. Mas mabuti pang mag FSP nalang kayo boss or Corsair.

Bossing gumagawa ako ng freelance animation, di ko nalang sasabihin muna yung 3D software ko pero matagal mag render ng 60 fps na video na may effects (lighting, shaders etc.). Siguro dahil medyo outdated na i5 ko [Intel i5-2400 CPU @3.40 GHz]

Yung graphics card ko NVIDIA GT 430 pa, sobrang gasgas na kung tutusin pero kaya pa naman. Pero mukang ang main concern talga is memory, 6 gb lang (kingston DDR3 x2 [2gb + 4gb]). Well, okay naman siguro processor, pero ano mas urgent palitan? RAM or Video card?

atleast 8gb RAM

useang set up ng servers, networking and etc. pang praktis lang din ng different OS

gus2 ko sana malaman kng my mapagbibilhan pa ba ako ng parts dito sa pinas na mas mataas dyan na compatible sa mobo ko???tnx po. big help kng my alam kau sa sitwasyon ko...tnx again

Mas maganda kasi ATI ang ipair sa A4 Llano kasi pwd xa ihybrid crossfire. Ung Llano kasi eh APU (instead of the typical CPU) kung baga may integrated GPU na xa, kaya pag pinair nyo xa sa ATI video card eh mas maiimprove pa ung performance ng PC nyo (specially in terms of gaming).

Depende kasi yan kung anong model ng Athlon x2. Kung same specs lang, Llano pa rin boss.. Unless Athlon II x4 ung katapat.. Kung x2 lang, mas maganda pa din talaga Llano

From the basic idea itself na video rendering ang main task ng computer mo, then getting a decent video card is the first thing you should do. Post your budget so may makapag-suggest if not Janzzon for a good card.

Kung gusto mo kumuha dedicated video card, go for athlon. But if you would go for a4 llano and then want to buy a videocard, then get HD 6450 / HD 6350 and do hybrid-crossfire para magkaroon ng pakinabang at di masayng ang apu ng llano.

Masyado na pong outdated ang system nyu, it would be better building a newer one. You can get a cheaper llano build if you want or search tipidpc for parts.

Out-of-the-box, mas maganda ang llano for its apu.

Sir janzzon CPU lang po ang buy namin hindi lang naman po dragon nest ang nilalaro ko hehe nag dodota rin po ako at rose. Yun lang naman po lalaruin ko at siguro onting War inc. Sir baka pede po yung mura unti kasi bebenta namin yung Dell Optiplex 760 namin (sure ako mura lang to) hehe pero po 10-15k po budget. eto po yung screen resolution http://prntscr.com/m5ngi

sa mga magbubuild ng low budget pwede naman.. magsimula sa 2gb ram.. no GPU stock HSF stock PSU.. wala namang problema kung di kagad kaya buuin ung cpu.. ang mahalaga eh ang pagbili ng parts ay sulit..

pa quote po ng pc worth mga 20k, may kasama nang monitor. used for gaming and mostly online games (not overclocking) and intel sana para tipid kuryente...

pwede na kaya kung 500-550watts na PSU? i have no plans of overclocking or SLI config as of the moment (since di naman talaga sya supported ng mobo ko LOL )...


basic set-up lang po nung specs na binigay ko tapos 5 fans for the CPU case (i'll be adding an extra LED fan to the Lexa case)...

if pwede yung 500-550watts, may maissugest po ba kayo na PSU? preferrably yung may LED and around 3k lang sana or less..

if hindi po pwede, pwede po ba yung:
FSP Aurum (AU-500) 500watts 80PLUS Gold or
Corsair GS 600watts (GS600) 80PLUS

and, alin po mas maganda sa dalawa?

550w would probably be the safe wattage. As long as hindi ka naman mag ccrossfire/SLI at hindi naman top tier video card yung gagamitin (like the 7970 or GTX 690) eh saktong sakto na un, kahit pa saksakan mo ng 5 na fans

Pero kung kaya naman ng budget, go for the Corsair GS 600watts (GS600) 80PLUS. Take note po: ang Corsair GS series PSU's eh nsa Tier 1 (best) in terms of PSU's. Halos lahat ng kakilala kong PC enthusiast eh Corsair GS Series ang gamit. Trust me, hinding hindi ka magsisi jan, sulit na sulit yan!

And about naman sa placement ng PSU, depende po yan sa PC Chassis nyo, at kung ano ang airflow ng rig nyo.
