Anyone working as Cloud Engineer (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) ?

Hello, I'm planning to start my career path to become cloud engineer (AWS and Azure) most likely and no knowledge pa ako about this technology. Paano mag start sa ganitong field at magkaroon ng chance makalipat/ makapag appy sa ganitong role? Salamat

In my current Organization, they're recommending GCP. However, I ended up choosing AWS since siya ang pioneer and pinaka malaki ang market share sa cloud computing; hence, pinaka madaming job opportunity na available for you.

Try signing up for AWS. May mga libreng seminar sila doon. Ma familiarize mo din dahan dahan. I’m not an Engineer though pero I tried AWS for Alexa. Maganda talaga, secure and scalable.

Uu, maganda talaga ang AWS. Di ako engineer or someone with fancy titles, but I came from an environment where leased servers was the norm (dedicated servers and VPS). Magpapa-upgrade lang ng storage or memory, need pa ng support ticket. Tapos hintay ng ilang days bago ma-provision ang server parts. Pagpasok ko sa AWS, parang bata ako sa candy store. Andun na lahat ng gusto ko at a click of the mouse. Madaling mag-scale up or scale down, tapos maraming paraan para ma-implement ang solution. Good thing I'm not paying the bills.

Based on my experience, I actually do not recommend going into the AWS Console right away. Very overwhelming ang UI. Nagsimula ako sa video tutorials. Since familiar na ako sa mga tech and tools na ginagamit ko sa server setups, like LAMP and mail services, isang video course lang ang pinanood ko: Amazon Web Services (AWS) Fundamentals for System Administrators by Pluralsight. Siguro magandang tutorial din yung mga AWS-related certifications para maging familiar sa mga products nila, like AWS Certified Solutions Architect, o kaya AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate.

I think cost lang talaga ang problema ng AWS. Ang mga natitirang AWS products na frequently used namin ay S3 (storage) and SES (SMTP, bulk mailing) nalang. Ito yung mga walang better alternatives. But when it comes to servers, we have been moving away from AWS. Maraming mas mura.

Im not cloud engineer, dev ako pero may alam ako about cloud architecture sa ngayon ang trend is Docker Orchestration, aws ecs, docker..
try mo sila aralin. sa company ko kasi ako nag dedev ng API and ako dn nag mamanage at bumubuo ng buong cloud architecture like ano gagamiting server, paano madedeploy, paano walang down time mga ganya..

Hi guys just sharing my small experience about cloud.
Bale ang gusto ko talga aralin is AWS same reason sa inyo, but nung nagbigay ng libreng voucher si microsoft azure for fundamentals exam napaaral ako ng azure.
Ang napansin ko lang sa AWS at Azure is "service name".
Sa azure straight forward ng naming ng services nila.
nakapasa ako sa fundamentals exam nila.

kung tatanongin ako pag nagbigay si AWS ng free voucher ng fundamentals exam. ano pag papatuloy ko? syempre AWS

Hello, I'm also interested in studying AWS, may mga recommendation po ba kayo dyan for starters? Nag start ako last year ng ccna bootcamp kaso hndi ko rin natuloy dahil nga naintroduce sa akin si AWS and salary wise pasok na pasok si AWS kahit starting palang, observation ko lang to ah hindi ko rin sure.
