. Isa na jan yung multi-window ni Android 6.0 Marshmallow(split screen) na currently available lang sa mga tablets and some phablets but not smartphones. Unfortunately, ang work around is dapat nakaroot which is same problem ng ps3 controller mo dapat nakaroot.sir ako din mismo may asus zenfone 3 same model 5.2" zc520TL gold. sadly to say need mo maghintay ng rooting method for zenfone 3 max. As of now naghanap ako and wala pa talaga and closest I found is sa isang chinese forum. Pero ayoko itry kasi baka mabrick or masira zefone 3 max ko. I am still monitoring yung isang popular taiwanese(shakalaka) na I think father of all rooting methods ng Asus Zenfones. so far ang statement nya wala pa sya marerelease need to wait for a few months.
Tama dapat nakaroot sya ang dami ko napansin hindi ko magawa dito ngayon kasi hindi pa rooted. Hindi ako sanay ng hindi nakaroot
Just in case, maroot naman natin in the few months to come, isa pang problem is yung Asus firmware. Pansin ko dami ata inoff na compatibility and standard features ang Asus sa normal na stock android to give way sa bloatware nila and bloat functions. Kaya ang napansin ko namimili sya ng mga plug and play na devices via OTG/wifi/bluetooth(possible ito ang root problem ng ps3 controller mo).

Ito sinasabi ko chinese forum kaso I don't trust it because of the following points:
First, Zenfone 3 max ZC520TL dito sa pilpinas is WW version at hindi CN version. CN version ang pinaguuspan dun, may WW version pero for different base model ZC550KL
Second, ZC550KL(zenfone 3 max 5.5") yung model na nagtry at successful nairoot kaso ZC520TL(zenfone 3 max 5.2") ang kay TS different hardware, different model. You may try it and mataas chance na magtatapon ka lang ng pera dahil hindi mo na magagamit ang celphone mo.
Anyway, maganda sa games din yung Zenfone 3 max. There is no difference sa 5.5" vs 5.2" version ng zenfone 3 max. same exact specs kaso screen size lang talaga nagkatalo. Ok performance nya sakin at battery life considering 4100mah sya. Downside walang LTE. isa pang downside and big deal sakin ay dual sim nga pero ang slot 2 is either sim or microsd card you have to choose one but you can not have both.
If hardcore gamer ka and after really good graphics and performance better off ka sa Zenfone 3 ZE520KL or ZE552KL dahil snapdragon(Adreno graphics) at hindi Mediatek(Mali Graphics) ang chip. Though it costs as of today 16998(ZE520kl) and 18995(ZE552KL).
To me Zenfone 3 Deluxe and Zenfone 3 Ultra models are not worth the high price(30k+) and still Medium range pa din ang category. Why not go for samsung galaxy s7 edge kung ganung price lang din naman at least high end category and smartphone at high end gaming. So recommend ko stick na lang kayo sa Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Laser, Zenfone 3 max variants.
Pano ba sir magroot sa asus? hindi sya kaya ng kingroot tsaka kingoroot. Failed lagi.

Kung makikita nyo sa Zenfone 3 max ko ang board chipset is MT6735. Pero kung rresearch mo ang nirerelease or known released chipset ng Zenfone 3 max sa Asia is MT6737M.
Okay pagdating sa Youtube video. ang Instruction is gamitin yung Scatter file(Memory Map/Partition structure) for MT6737T(I think galing sa ibang brand at phone model nung nagpost nung vid). Sobrang layo dun motherboard nung Zenfone 3 Max ko na MT6735. Yung scatter file kasi ang tumutukoy kung asan yung system, boot, recovery location at gaano storage size ng bawat partition. Ngayon kung mali naman ang Scatter file paano ako makakasiguro na wala mangyayari masama sa Zenfone 3 max ko diba? eh magkaiba ng structures ang MT6735 ko sa MT6737M/MT6737T.
After watching further sa vid, simple lang ang rooting method. Ang goal is to install superSU:
1) Use the right scatter file para makita yung locations
2) Install TWRP(ito yung custom recovery). Currently, Droidboot from Asus ang recovery boot ko. Dapat install ang TWRP sa Recovery partition. Hindi ka pwede basta basta maginstall ng TWRP sa kahit saan na lang phone model. May listahan po ang TWRP team sa website nila kung anung version ang compatible sa phone mo. sa Video ang ginamit is TWRP 3.02 WW image file
3) Reset phone and boot sa TWRP.
4) pag dating sa TWRP iinstall ang SuperSU from microsd mo(main goal rooted ka na!)
Based sa experience sa pagrroot ko sa ibang phones, yes possible magsuccessful. Pero dahil hindi tugma, ang close na naencounter ko jan is nagkaroon ng mga bugs or symptoms na nanotice ko lang 1 month since root such as walang wifi, sira yung sim2, walang signal need ireset plge etc... Ang pinakamasaklap na nakamit ko hind na magon.
Anyway, nashare ko lang find outs ko mahirap mabrick ang phone and nagbasa ako ng comments dun sa video madami nabrick ang phone after following steps sa video so nakakatakot. Try ko humanap ng right scatter file atleast nakakuha ako idea brad. Kaso hindi ako hiyang sa mga ganitong risky na root methods. Mas hiyang ako sa fastboot methods. Sabagay Ang ZF3 Max ang 1st MediaTek phone ko kasi. Thanks
