Remember when the US used to hunt whackos like David Koresh of Waco, Texas, in the past?

It doesn't seem that long ago.

How the tables have turned: now the US has voted the whacko supremo to the highest office of their land:

Trump Rally Cheers Because Jerusalem Move Will Launch Armageddon

Conservative Christians cheer after GOP lawmaker predicts that moving U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem will usher in Armageddon.

A Trump rally in Pensacola, Florida, offered a disturbing look into the End Times fantasies of many Trump loving conservative Christians.

At the rally, Florida state Senator Doug Broxson suggested that Trump’s controversial decision to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem may usher in Armageddon, and the crowd cheered.

Senator Broxson was one of several individuals introducing Trump to the receptive crowd. At one point in his introductory speech the Republican lawmaker praised Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel as a win for people of faith, declaring:

Now, I don’t know about you, but when I heard about Jerusalem — where the King of Kings [applause] where our soon coming King is coming back to Jerusalem, it is because President Trump declared Jerusalem to be capital of Israel.

For the uninitiated, Broxson is claiming that moving the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem sets the stage for the Second Coming of Christ, Armageddon, and End Times. It is a conservative Christian’s wet dream.

Theologian and scholar Dr. Diana Butler Bass wrote a brilliant and succinct Twitter thread explaining the significance the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem for evangelical Christians, and the apocalypse:

For decades, conservative evangelicals have been longing for this recognition. They believe it is necessary in order to regain control of the Temple mount.

Bass continues:

That is important because rebuilding the Temple is the event that will spark the events of the Book of Revelation and the End Times.

Of all the possible theological dog-whistles to his evangelical base, this is the biggest. Trump is reminding them that he is carrying out God’s will to these Last Days.

They’ve been waiting for this, praying for this. They want war in the Middle East. The Battle of Armageddon, at which time Jesus Christ will return to the Earth and vanquish all God’s enemies.

For certain evangelicals, this is the climax of history.
And Trump is taking them there. To the promised judgment, to their sure victory. The righteous will be ushered to heaven; the reprobate will be banished to hellfire.

People believe this. Really believe this. Have given their lives to these ideas, sing about them in their churches, evangelize others, teach them in Sunday schools.

Bottom line: Many conservative Christians believe that moving the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem sets the stage for Armageddon, and that makes Trump lovers cheer.

Reykjavik, Iceland – The government of this small island country voted unanimously to place warning labels on every Bible. Not only will the cover of each and every tome have a warning, but there are to be reminders placed throughout the so-called holy book to remind readers they are putting their hearts and minds at risk.

Warnings Explained
The public health dangers placed on cigarettes inspired the warnings. The government of Iceland looked around the globe and saw what other countries put on packages of cancer sticks.

“We wanted to utilize what worked best for other nations,” explained Prime Minister Andrew Canard while snacking on eel cakes. “We need to make sure our citizens are aware of the dangers implicit in reading the Bible and taking it seriously.”

The new warnings include but are not limited to:

  • Taking the Bible literally can lead to irrational decision-making.
  • Reading the Bible to young children is shown to cause nightmares and bed wetting.
  • The Bible contains God-approved genocide, misogyny, and a serious lack of humor.
  • Reading the Bible has been shown to cause an outbreak of Donald Trump.
  • Reading the Book of Revelation is positively correlated with speaking in tongues and other psychotic events.

This new statute also demands that every Bible sold must be wrapped in plastic. The intent is to keep small children from picking up the book and reading verses like Psalm 137:9 Happy is the one who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks.

The warning message must cover 35% of the front and 112% of the back. While the law doesn’t require images of skull and crossbones, some publishers are using it. The strategy is to market the holy book of Christians in a punk rock style and making it look as edgy and dangerous as possible.

Reactions
Those watching Icelandic affairs are not surprised with this turn of events. Ever since Iceland declared Christianity a public health hazard the situation on the ground evolved quickly. Fearing for its safety in the age of resurgent toxic Christianity in the United States, the small nation issued a travel ban against American televangelists as well as white Southern Baptists.

The Catholic Church along with other Christian sects are demanding the new law requiring warning labels on Bibles be struck down immediately.

“How can the Church operate in an environment where there is truth in advertising?” exclaimed one anonymous priest. “It’s absurd.”

Vice President Pence is seeking ways to apply pressure and force Iceland to change its secular ways. The recent prayer offensive against Iceland proved ineffective. The next faith-based attack will include more churches. Prayer warriors are being instructed to pray 20% louder for the LORD to hear their prayers more effectively.

Yung "Indio complex" buhay parin mapa hanggang ngayun.

I don't particularly attach too much weight on such clerical matters. It's more a culture thing and if you choose to bring a lot of baggage to the matter you'll only stress yourself to no end. Church attendance is communal sharing first and foremost, before people get too serious about the whole thing. The Church itself recognizes the business potentials of such affairs, though saying this does not take away from the sense of community the affairs bring.

If you fear about indoctrination, there are a lot of years and chances to correct that. It's a matter that is not to far removed from belief in Santa: the child will soon outgrow them. Mostly.

Besides churches offer a unique place to hold such events architecturally-wise. Who knows religion might actually die out in the future. What better way to appreciate them than now while they are still living edifices rather than just a sight to behold later on like some museum pieces. Many atheists actually echo this kind of mentality.

Condecending atheist who blames religions why to this day we still don't have a waifu clone, utopian dreamer?

Meron ako question sa mga Atheist. Gusto ko maging Atheist but nasa subconscious mind ko si God or Goddess. Hindi ko siya pwede edeny. Nang naging Atheist kayo, 100% perfect deleted na talaga sa mind ang God niyo talaga o sadya ang God ay nag-eexist pa rin sa mind niyo, it is just you denied lang because of kung ano man ang rason or whatever?

Alam ko ang posisyon ko, kaya, difficult for me na 100% percent na sabihin ko agad sa sarili na there is no God, e sa subsconscious mind ko ay meron God.

You know that is how our brain works diba? Kung ano ininstall ng ating parents since child then nakasanayan at na record sa subsconscious mind.

Okay lang sana kung inborn atheist like sa North Korea dahil ang mga bata doon ay since child, na cultivate o na enhance ang brain nila na without God talaga, kaya, kahit ano ehalungkat sa subsconscious mind nila about information of God ay wala tayo mahahanap at wala talaga sila feeling of guilt and hatred o anything (that is why there is some NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCER O AFTERLIFE EXPERIENCE na Atheist na nakakarating in heaven-- nababasa ko-- kung baga child-innocent like sila) and going to heaven is not based sa religion at naniniwala ako, dahil sa testimonial na nababasa ko from death survival.

As in naging natural ika nga but they do not do bad things kahit atheist sila. Actually, they do not debate e.

Kung without God talaga as in pure--- papaano niyo natanggal iyon within your subsconcious mind? I mean nag-buddhist ba kayo? O ano? Nag--- ano ba? Papaano? Ang buddhism ay sabi wala creator daw iyon. Depende sa tao iyon, siguro, kung gusto niya meron creator or wala. Tutal, buddhism ay masyado malawak.

Kase, Pwede ko sabihin na there is no God or I do not believe in God pero if we reflect, sa subsconscious mind ay nagrereflect na there is God.

I felt like I want to be Atheist pero unfair naman kung in my subsconcious mind ay sinasabi na there is a God.

you never met a genuine christian then. you just met 'religious' people. being a christian is totally different from being a religious.
