Sir Seven, since medyo dugtong ito ng usapan natin sa kabila pa respond lang po ako.
In my opinion, work or academe settings are NOT similar to a forum settings; 1. Forum is more diversified, in fact so diversified that you have no clue who they are 2. Forums have no specific goals like in work, it's not mandatory to deliver an idea to quota audience 3. Work environment requires close communication. It's vital to achieve goals for company’s success. If you have a multi-cultural work environment, proper and close communication is STILL and the more it should be a MUST. That's why you get good comm channels in the office kahit iba-iba mga salita nyo.
You are right about "audiences". So in my opinion, communication in forums is closer to compare to mass comm media (ei; tv, internet) rather than to compare it to your working environment. In mass media, you can choose target the audience, like so if you were TV surfing, and you don't understand the broadcast, then you can consider that you are not the audience, and you are free switch to other channels which you can understand. But one difference between TV and forum is unlike in TV if you don’t understand romanovasha's broadcast of idea, you feel you are not the audience, but you are still interested to learn then you can ask for elaborations from him, otherwise you're free to ignore, right? In parallel, if your Muslim and French workmates speak straight french and arabic, you know that you are not their audience so there is no need to interfere or in our case join the others in ranting over the manner the romanovasha shared his idea.
Regarding the grammar issue: In romanovasha's case he is not hinting on classroom grammar that we all (or not all) learned in high school. If you understand his arguments you will know that the syntax he is correcting is his argument. It's similar if you're being asked a simple yes or no question but you know that it is not as simple as answering yes or no - that you need to modify first the context/syntax of the question before you want to answer. So it may seem he is just fault finding but his argument for the issue is already there. Yung lang po sir. I'm explaining lang po to avoid further prosecution sa ibang members simply because we can’t understand them.
