Hello, guys... Tagal ko ding nawala ah.."busy"..hehehe.
Anyway, binasa-basa ko ng konti ang mga last posts. At bago ako antukin sa ibang topics, allow me to add a comment on this one... mapapanis na ang laway ko sa tagal na walang worthwhile topic so just not to let that happen, here's nothing...
Between us "non-believers", I'm sure you all know there is actually no such thing as "good or bad"... masama o mabuti, langit o impyeno, pangit o maganda, etc.etc....every term is just a "label" given for the experience or the object so as to "identify" or differentiate it with the rest. Aside from the fact that everything is "relative" to the experiencer pa, kaya nga the saying: "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and so on and so forth...
Now, requisite to evolution is for the organism to experiment on all workable scenarios: yung iba will try the "good", yung iba will try the "bad" (it's a natural thing sabi nga ni "genius" detapak). The one chosen by the greater many because of their "pleasant" experience with it will be labeled the "good" thing and all those that are contrary to it will be the "bad" ones perhaps with varying degrees...semi-good, semi-bad, etc. etc.
Now, that doesn't mean that the infamous "bad" thing will always give an "unpleasureable" experience to every organism. Remember, a masochist enjoys pain which is unpleasurable to most. (He/she will also call it "good" relative to his/her "own" experience. That's why there will be varying preferences ALWAYS).
Back to topic...now when this "good" thing to many (thus making it "prevalent and accepted") stands the test of time and the evolution of the culture selected that to be the good one), it now becomes the "moral".
Most of us follows the MORAL because that would be the most convenient thing for us to do for survival - which is actually one of the basic goals of life together with pro-creation which is the temporary solution pending the discovery of perpetual existence or immortality. Others will, of course, experiment on the variety of other "immoral" choices as nature dictates.
And therefore, although we don't believe in Santa Claus or the "candy-reward" called heaven, we still follow the morals because LIFE dictates we do so in order for us to survive and keep procreating 'til immortality is finally discovered by LIFE on this plane of existence which is definitely the closest thing we can have to what others would call "GOD" or may I, more appropriately, say ESSENCE OF THE UNIVERSE or ESSENCE OF EXISTENCE.
P.S.
The "good" thing (with the best of human/animal efforts) must not only bring temporal "pleasant" experience to the living entity but must also give long term "pleasant" consequences for the next and future generations to come. Remember, it is more or less the same genetic code which is passed on. So it is not the "temporal vessel" but the "BASIC GENETIC CODE" that should essentially be there eternally for the continual pleasant experience.
LIFE EVOLVES IN PURSUIT OF PERPETUAL EXISTENCE.
It may not be the same original code but it started that way... Or it may be the original code, which has broken apart (big bang?) and is finding its way back to the original, PERFECT form...
Meron nga din pala topic about happiness and satisfaction. Para sa akin, it is simply the absence of suffering or relatively, the varying degree of the decrease of the experience of suffering... The less the suffering, the more the happiness/satisfaction. Parang " darkness as absence of light" argument lang hehehe.
sorry to read what you posted.
pero dapat bang may halong pananakot na mapupunta sa impyerno ang taong di naniniwala sa diyos? you mention loving god and yet you imply fear. that doesn't look a loving god for me.
happiness is a choice or decision of someone

Pero most of the time, short-circuiting does not offer a long-term solution to the problem. THE SPECIE MUST CHANGE TO THE VERY GENETIC CORE... and that takes time... a very long, long time before that becomes prevalent; before that becomes the accepted "good"...
For the time-being just let them suffer their ineptness.
understanding them first would be the first step para malaman mo ung papano mo sila kakausapin ng maayos at kung papano mo sila maeenganyo na itigil ang maling ginagawa nila. pag alam mo na ang sitwasyon, then you can speak to them in a mild way without implying fear to make them change.

suppose the person tells you that he/she went through a lot like family problems, heart broke, frustration kasi kadalasan ito ang dahilan, that drove him/her to these vices, then balik sa question. Ano ang sasabihin mo?
At kung tatanungin ka nila kung bakit kailangan nila tumigil sa droga, ANO ang isasagot mo without implying fear?
Thanks.
