automatic transmission gear problem

sir patulong po. yung gear po ng sasakyan namin pag shift pa-drive wala pong nangyayari hindi po gumagalaw yung sasakyan kahit tapakan namin yung accelerator. kailangan pang ibaba sa 2nd gear tapos itaas uli sa drive. pero pwede naman din pung medyo galawin namin yung gear na naka drive nang parang mag neu-neutral ka sa manual. ano po kaya ang problema nito?

PS naka check engine light din siya mga 3 weeks na. TIA sa sasagot. sana may sumagot.

You need to have it check right away bago lumala ang problema (just in case hindi pa malala). When the CEL lights up it means there's a problem with one or more than one of your car's sensor. It could be related to your transmission problem or it could be not so better bring it to a shop that has an obd2 scanner. Some cars have a plug where you can jumper to know the code the CEL is throwing. The transmission might have a problem with just the shift lever if you're lucky but if not, it might be the transmission itself. better have it check dahil pag tuluyan nasira yung AT then it will cost an arm and a leg. Have you changed the AT fluid before? What car pala?

car is yung surplus na chevrolet spark pala. if you mean na AT fluid if napa change naba is yung change oil, yes naka change oil kami and tinatawagan kami nung shop everytime scheduled for change oil na. and tinawagan namin if schedule naba niya sabi ok padaw hindi pa daw niya sched.

ang problema kasi namin boss is kung magkano aabutin nun kasi baka sa transmission na. mahal yata yun diba? eh 5k palang max budget namin. napasok nadin namin sa shop kaninang umaga lang kasi humina nadin ang pwersa niya.

You don't need to change AT Fluid as often as engine oil. Some AT tranny has a filter na pwedeng bumara. Since nasa shop na then have them diagnose the problem first para may idea kayo. You don't need to have them repair it right away lalo na kapag wala pang budget. Try other shops also to get second opinion.

I hope that will solve the problem. Is it leaking fluid on the floor? Siguro it's loosing some pressure hence the problem. You're welcome.
