Yes it ran after it was reprogrammed but not in Toyota. The technician was formerly from Toyota and claimed he brought the ECU to Autoworks along EDSA. What are the risks of having an ECU that was reprogrammed? Toyota said they're no longer manufacture 1999 ECU and had to be outsourced.

There shouldn't be any risk at all as long as it was reprogrammed with the right equipment. I don't know if your ECU was reprogrammed before and I assume that it's still the original ECU that came with your vehicle because it's not often that we'd hear an original ECU's software going bad and needs to be reprogrammed. Usually, a component inside would burn out or the ECU will get damage from flood. At least, your problem got solved.

guys balak ko magpa overhaul ng carb. madami ako negative comments na naririnig. maselan daw, tsambahan daw, lalakas daw sa gas, baka lalo daw masira etc. any advice? sobrang baba ba ng chance na tumino yun? stock ph12 engine honda civic hatch.

Panu po ba ang tamang paraan ng pag tune ng carburador?
Lately po kasi pag nag warm na ung engine, biglang humihina ung hatak, tapos parang ayaw na tumaas ang rebolusyon pag tinapakan ko ung gas. Kelangan ko pang bumaba at hilain ung accelerator cable sa makina at i rev para bumalik ung lakas.
Pero mga 1 kilometer lang babagal na naman hanggang mamatayan ako. Pahingi naman po ng advice..

Only a mechanic who has experience working with a carburetor can tune it well. Most mechanic do not have the necessary tools for tuning carburetor so they have to "listen" to it rev or idle or sometimes with the use of a tachometer but that's only for the idle speed part. With the air/fuel mixture, they usually tune it by feel. So better look for a mechanic who has prior experience.

1 1/2 month ko palang syang nagagamit.

problema hindi na kuma-kagat ang shifting nya.
nagyon po hindi na umaandar ang kotse . naka stock nalang po sa bahay.
ano po kaya pweding sira nya?
at magkano naman po kaya ang aabutin..

taga Paranaque gacthalian lang po ako.

Try to have it check by a reputable shop. Have you change the ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid)? Check the level of the fluid. Automatic transmissions are complicated and they are quite expensive to fix than a manual tranny.

Check the relay and fuse. Also, check your coolant temperature sensor (if your car has one) if working properly. On some cars, you can short the two wires going to the sensor and if the rad fan spins then the problem is the coolant temperature sensor.

Most likely the idle up solenoid is not working properly. The idle up solenoid should raise the idling speed of the engine once the AC is turned on to compensate for the load.

TS meron din ako nabili Kia Avella surplus, ang problema nasira na naman Lining.. Napalitan na to ng Bago after 2weeks lang sira naman. Habang nagmamaneho ako bigla nalang nag amoy sunog na Guma. Sa Lining daw nasusunog, at ayaw ng tumakbo.. Ano kaya kadalasan dahilan nito? Mahal kasi pagawa. at ang sabi nung last automechanic bilis daw tlaga ma sira lining ng mga Kia Avella. pa advice naman.. tnx

Different cars have different idling speed but 700 to 800 rpm is ok without load. Pag may load mga 850 to 900 is ok but not 1000rpm. Try mo muna ipacheck sa mechanic kung idle up solenoid kasi kadalasan yung ang unang suspect. You check banawe, maraming piyesa ng Toyota dun. You can try asking kung may replacement na brand new at kung meron compare it sa surplus (orig but used) solenoid.
