Focal point is the point of focus on the image. It can be a person, the text or whatever. This is what you want onlookers to focus on when looking at your image.
When taking to account the focal point, make sure to adjust other elements of the image, i.e. text, backdrop, effects so that it flows towards the focal point, allowing smoother overall flow of the image.

I don't see anything wrong with the first image. Pang-banner ba s'ya? Medyo mahaba kasi eh.
Para sa'kin magulo 'yung second image. Hindi ko makita 'yung focus dito. Refer to my previous post about flow and focal point.
Overall, you're on the right track. Keep it up and keep practicing in PS!

nagtataka nga po ko sir kasi dito sa desktop ko ok naman sya pero nung upload ko eh kumupas hehe! bakit po kaya? manual kasi ang adjustment ng monitor ko i usually work on a dim monitor kaya po siguro ang tingin ko sa gawa ko eh hindi kupas. ano po ba ang best or standard na monitor display value na dapat ko gamitin?

kung baga po ba for a effective design always po dapat i apply ung flow and focal point?
