1. METHOD OF ROOTING
This is the easiest method of rooting I've known.
Through the use of an application called Framaroot, rooting is just now handy and simple as 1, 2, and 3.

STEPS:
i. Download Framaroot.
ii. Install and open.
iii. Click "Install SuperSU".
iv. Reboot.
v. Congrats! You had just rooted your device! You may now alter/modify your system and install restricted applications.
2. HOW TO INSTALL CWM (CLOCKWORKMOD RECOVERY)
Download the following:
Mobile Uncle MTK Tool
STEPS:
i. Install Mobile Uncle Tools.
ii. Place the downloaded custom recovery to the root of your sdcard.**Don't place it in a folder 'coz it will not be detected by the Mobile Uncle Tool
iii. Open Mobile Uncle Tool and Tick/Tap Recovery Update.
iv. Now your Custom Recovery will now be automatically detected.**Note: You can actually rename your recovery in any name you want. Just don't change the file extension "img".
v. Tick/Tap the Custom Recovery. Now, it will ask you if you want to flash it. Just choose OK. Then Reboot.
vi. You will now automatically be brought to the ClockWordMod Recovery.
Keys:
Power: Choose/Enter
Volume Up: move selection up
Volume Down: move selection down
Key Combination to boot in CWM: Press Volume Up + Power Button simultaneously.
**Note: In my case, first I need to remove my battery then replace it in order for the key combination to work.
But it can also easily be accessed by following the step "iii to v".

Flash via CWM.
i. Clear/Reset Data(Factory Reset)
ii. Clear Cache Partition
iii. Delete/Clear Dalvik Cache
iv. Clear/Delete Battery Stats
v. Install JellyBurst Nexus v2.0
vi. Clear Dalvik Cache
vii. Reboot.

Basic Troubleshooting:

NO MUSIC / PICTURES - [Settings > Storage > Tap Picture and Music to Update the Library]
