For ease of use, try mo iexplore yung Ubuntu, or PCLOS, or Elementary Linux, or Linux Mint. Yan mga Linux na yan intended for users migrating from Windows. Works outside-of-the-box. Fantastic hardware support. Then pag mejo comfortable ka na sa Linux environment, lipat ka na sa ibang distro to get yourself more acquainted with the inner workings of Linux. You may then try the rock-solid Debian, or the bleeding-edge ArchLinux. Goodluck! :) Its good na gusto mo matuto gumamit ng ibang OS aside from MS. When MS people are stuck with the dreaded BSOD, their only option is to format (well, for the most part), pero kung alam mo rin Linux, kaya mo pa isave yung files mo bago mo iformat yung MS. That's your one edge over those who only know one OS.

first time sa linux recommended ang ubuntu,
maraming users kaya mas maraming rin ang
pwedeng makitang sagot online kapag nagkaroon
ka ng problema

Linux Mint 16, newbie friendly linux distro.
But if you want great community support, then go for Ubuntu.

For Desktop/pang-bahay kung baga,

Question: Paano po mag-install ng Linux.? .iba po ba sya sa Window XP or etc. ???

Salamat po and More Power!!

installing is easy sir. guided naman yung installation like windows.

boot with the disk/usb, you'll be taken to the desktop and a pop-up that asks if you want to try it first or you want to install it directly.

during installation naman, you may have to understand how partitioning on Linux first kasi iba yung file system nya as compared to Windows. Maraming youtube videos Sir, I suggest watch ka muna kung pano para di ka masyadong manibago sa environment. not much of a learning curve naman, i'm sure you'll manage.

1) Download the ISO (PuppyLinux).
2) Using your XP, download/open Unetbootin the choose the downloaded ISO then follow the remaining instructions (actually, NEXT NEXT lang) .
3) Restart your computer. (Make sure naka-first boot yung USB)

Nagsimula at natuto ako ng Linux sa maliit na Distro muna (that was 2004). Eto yung DSL(DamnSmallLinux) saka PuppyLinux. Dito ako nagsimulang mag Distro Hopper.
