It depends on what bootable usb your making. If its a bootable Windows USB then you should still be able to use it as storage for your files.
Just make sure to create a separate folder for your files apart from the ones that are already there after creating the bootable usb.

tanong lang po po pag po ba bootable na ang flash drive di na pwede maging storage ibig ko po sabihin yung sabay po sila bootble na po pero pwede pa lagyan ng file sana po naintindihan nyo hehehe salamat po sa sasagot
Try to use rufus. Tried and tested ko na sya twice. Minsan lang pag ginagamit ko sya, nag error sa gitna, tapos inuulit ulit ko lang hanggang mag complete sya.
