P30 lite , got mine last april 17, pre ordered it from shopee with freebies bluetooth speaker, selfie stick, Jbl headphone, tempered glass and clear silicone case.

Official Update from Google:
- Google will still continue to support existing huawei phones.
- You will still able to have security updates and access all google play services.
- Only future Huawei devices will be affected by the license issue.
Things you need to know about Android and Huawei.
1. Some are reporting that Huawei is prepared to use a new OS. This is possible but not easy to implement, why? You will need 3rd party developers/companies to come in and develop for your new OS. Here’s one good example: windows mobile.
2. “Maybe Google will retract its decision?” - Unfortunately, they cannot. The decision was driven by an executive order from US government banning Chinese companies from buying/subscribing to US products or services. In other words, it is mandatory.
3. “But Android is open source” - yes and no, Android has a licensed version and an open source version. Google provide license to companies to use Android with Google services that gives their customers access to Google Playstore and other google play services.
4. “I’ll just side load apps using APKs and accept to have an open source version of android” - yes you can but other apps are relying to google DRM Widevine system which checks if the app is digitally signed and if the device is safe/unrooted. Example: Netflix is using this DRM system to protect their app, so you might not be able to side load Netflix on your phone without google services.
5. This won’t affect users from china since Google playstore is originally blocked in China and they are using 3rd party app store from Tencent.
6. “Huawei will use 3rd party app store like from tencent” - it is possible but not all apps are available in that app store. Example: There’s no facebook app in tencent’s app store because facebook is blocked in china.
7. “This isn’t world wide” - it is, since android license is per company and not per device or per country.
8. Why is this happening? - It might be because of the on-going trade war of US-China and the recommendation of US Government about Huawei security issues.
9. What can you do?
- If you are using a Huawei phone, I suggest to turn off automatic updates and don’t install any updates yet.
- You can still use your Huawei phones because this change will not be effective immediately.
- Don’t buy new phones from Huawei. You’re safe with LG & Samsung since they are from South Korea and they are not part of the ban.
- Wait for further announcements from Huawei.
Why should it be a big deal also for non-Huawei users? Because this US-China trade war is also affecting our market.

Mga mam/sir, Do you have recommended SD Card to use for P30 Lite?

diba IP 68 ang p30 pro? meaning pwede mabasa up to 1.5 meters for maximum of 30mins. yung sakin, nabasa kasi nag outing kami sa may falls, hindi naman sya napalublob under water. pero parang naulanan kasi nga sa falls kami nagpunta. ngayon, nabubuhay sya pero hindi gumagana ang finger print. huhu. sa globe ko sya nakuha. what to do? punta ba ko sa globe? or sa huawei service center na mismo? cover kaya to ng warranty?
