A blurb in this year's 12th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is reporting on Monday that a "shocking" announcement regarding the Hunter X Hunter television anime would be made in the following issue.

Hunter X Hunter Anime to Air Chimera Ant Arc

This year's 13th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is reporting on Monday that the Hunter X Hunter anime will continue past the Greed Island arc into the Chimera Ant arc. The magazine also revealed the complete anime design for the first anime appearance of Gin Freecss' apprentice Kite, as well as the rough designs for the Queen, Meleoron, the thousand-fisted ant, Yunju, and the mosquito-type ant.
