I have duplicated my Globe vanity sim plus another Globe prepaid sim. Ayaw ko na kasing maglipat-lipat ng sim between my Blackberry Curve and my Modu phone. I'm in the process right now to duplicate my Sun vanity sim. Sayang kasi yung slot ng duplicate sim. I'm using a 16 in 1 magic sim + a sim card reader from CDR King.

I'm not a techie person but I just need to clarify some things:

>only prepaid sims (issued here in the Phils.) can be duplicated using this method. For postpaid, only the telcos are capable of doing so.

>The 16 in 1 sim can only keep one line active. You must switch to another line using the STK menu if you need to

>Simultaneous use of the original sim and the duplicate sim is possible but only one is functional at a time. The first one to register to the network would be the only one functional.

>the process is time-consuming. For the Globe sims, umabot ako ng 4-6 hours per sim. I don't know pero parang mas matagal ngayon yung sa Sun sim ko kasi more than 6 hours na pero hindi pa tapos up to now. :weep:

May sariling STK menu kasi yung 16 in 1 sim. Possible siguro kung text/command based pero not on the traditional retailer sim na STK menu based.

Just an update since I experimented recently:
For calls, only the first phone that registered to the network would be able to make and receive calls. For text however, both orig and cloned sim can send text messages. Kapag nag-reply yung recipient, the same phone that sent the message will receive the reply. If out of nowhere may nagtext sa iyo, the phone that first registered to the network will receive it.
