Use Rufus. At gumamit ka ng pendrive. At least
4gb for the full-featured x64 and x86 variants, at kung light habol mo, at least
Frequently maintained and updated and rufus. No issues thus far.
Or kung pursigido ka talaga mag-Linux, use Ubuntu or Linux MInt.
Ubuntu has different flavors for different people with different styles and different uses. In fact, gamit ko Xubuntu dual boot wiright now on a dual-core 1.0ghz netbook w/ 2GB RAM, kasi this distro is lightweight at mas kaya pa i-handle ang netbook vs Windows 10/8.1.
Linux mint is the same as Ubuntu, has different variants.
Do your research and try them all, libre naman eh.
Fedora is not a bad choice kaso mas preferred ko yung una for beginners kasi medyo advanced ang fedora at most likely may mga bugs kasi 'bleeding edge' daw eh.
Linux has great diversity, unlike sa babae, pwede kang magpapalit-palit ng Linux distro (OS) mo, at walang masama o ilegal dito.
Kung pursigido ka talaga mag Linux, fire up a thread and ask more questions. I'll be more than happy to help
